Phil Collins has shared an update on the status of his relationship with Paul McCartney.
Collins, 75, and McCartney, 84, have been feuding since 2002 when the Beatle made a comment about the "In the Air" singer at the 2002 Queen's Jubilee Concert.
Speaking on a recent episode of the Piers Morgan Uncensored podcast, Collins recalled of the initial exchange: "We had a rehearsal at Buckingham Palace and I had a first edition Hunter Davies book [on The Beatles], which was very quite rare. I took it to the rehearsal so Paul could sign it… Paul came up behind with Heather Mills, who he was married to at that point, and I said, 'Paul, could you sign this?'
"He probably didn't mean it like it sounded, but he said, 'He's a big Beatle fan, is our little Phil,'" Collins continued. "And I thought, 'You ******* .' I couldn't help it. That's just what I thought."
Collins added of being stung by the remark: "I knew Paul. This wasn't the first time I met him. I played on one of his albums. I played live with him with the Prince's Trust. I'd given him an award at an award show in London, so I kind of knew him. So I was kind of surprised at that particular tone of reply."

Even wilder, Beatles insider Chris O'Dell says she was actually sitting at Ringo's kitchen table when George finally told him, "I'm in love with your wife." According to O'Dell, Ringo responded, "Better you than someone we don't know." O'Dell said Ringo was nevertheless heartbroken by what happened. (Ringo got remarried in 1981 to Bond girl Barbara Bach, so he's doing alright!)
Somehow, George and Ringo's friendship survived and they worked together many more times (notably on the Beatles' reunion tracks "Free as a Bird," "Real Love," and "Now and Then.") When George died in 2001, Ringo called him "a best friend of mine," adding, "I loved him very much."

Princess Margaret was the younger sister of Queen Elizabeth. She earned a reputation as the rebellious, free-spirited counterpart of her more serious sibling.
Known for her wit, bold fashions, and star-studded social network, Margaret set the blueprint for future glamorous royals like Princess Diana.
Margaret died on February 9, 2002, at age 71, following a series of strokes.
Princess Margaret knew all her best angles.
With a fashion-photographer husband and a free-spirited approach to public life, the younger sister and only sibling of Queen Elizabeth never shied away from the camera. One '60s snapshot shows her beaming as she shakes hands with The Beatles. Another, from the '70s, sees the royal casually stunning in a houndstooth plaid coat with a matching hood while watching the Badminton horse trials alongside husband Lord Snowdon.

A tour guide who takes Beatles fans around Liverpool told how fans were stunned to see Sir Paul McCartney while waiting at traffic lights.
The chance encounter got even more surreal, when the Fab Four fans realised Sir Paul was at that very moment talking to fellow Beatle Ringo Starr on a video call.
"It was surreal," said Neil Morton, who has driven the Magical Mystery Tour bus around various Beatles sights in Liverpool for the last two years.
"I had pulled up at the traffic lights on Hope Street when who should I see - Sir Paul with Ringo on Facetime", he added.
"He waved to us and everybody took photos," Morton said.

The smell of rain, cheap beer, and hot pies floods through the concourse at the Etihad Stadium after a 2-0 UEFA Champions League victory over Galatasaray, just as it did nearly 60 years ago.
Oasis are playing, probably the record-breaking guitar solo on Live Forever or perhaps something heavier like Cigarettes and Alcohol, and fans are walking out of the stadium pleased after a brilliant first 30 minutes saw Erling Haaland break his five-game goal drought and Rayan Cherki add a second.
All senses convey the synchronicity of City's second-ever English ****** le win in 1968, when Neil Young scored a brace alongside goals from Mike Summerbee and Francis Lee to earn a close-knit win over Newcastle United, and ****** the ****** le from rivals Manchester United.
Back then, a backdrop of dense, soot-stained slums swallowed the beauty of Manchester, but it was still alive in spirit, and life in the 60s was about the internal rather than the external.
The Beatles, only 35 miles down the M62, released one of the most popular songs in history: "Hey Jude", changing music forever; there would often be "mums" of the street, where everyone cared for one another, and children would be all over the place, swinging from lampposts or kicking footballs in alleyways.

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — “Hey Jude” was the song of the night at Miami Stadium.
England midfielder Jude Bellingham, who England fans serenade with The Beatles’ 1968 hit, scored twice to send England to the World Cup semifinals with a 2-1, extra-time victory over upstart Norway.
Bellingham has four goals in England’s last two matches.
The victory sends England to the semifinals. It will play the winner of Argentina-Switzerland, which will be played late Saturday night. England advanced to the World Cup semifinals only three times before this year’s tournament.
Miami Stadium appeared full to capacity, as it has been for its previous World Cup matches. A majority of the people in attendance were England fans, who draped the interior walls of the stadium with flags that had the names of their club teams on them.

When former UFC two-division champion Conor McGregor returns to the cage at UFC 329 on Saturday, he'll have gone a full five years between fights. Here we will pause to, as the kids say, let that sink in.
He suffered that broken leg in his loss to Dustin Poirier on July 10, 2021. He will come back to face Max Holloway on July 11, 2026. Five years almost to the day. We don't often get that kind of clean symmetry amid the messy reality of fight sports, so it's worth noting.
For the sake of perspective, five years is also how long it took to build the Hoover Dam. It's about the length of the entire American Civil War, from the first shots fired at Fort Sumter to the surrender at Appomattox Court House. It's about as long as The Beatles played to live crowds as a touring rock band. It's a little more than a year longer than Ronda Rousey's entire UFC career.
Five years is a long time to be absent from anything you might call a vocation, but it's an eternity in fight sports. We can't say McGregor has done no fight-related work in that time. He was gearing up for a comeback fight against Michael Chandler in 2024, before a broken toe convinced him to withdraw. But that's not the same as slinging leather when it counts, under the lights, and against an opponent who genuinely means to do you great bodily harm.
McGregor's been back in the gym and doing serious work for many months now, or so we're told, so it's not as if he's going straight from the yacht to the Octagon. But leaving the cage on a stretcher and coming back five years later with a metal rod in your leg is a tricky business. We've seen it attempted before in this sport, but we haven't seen it go all that well.

East Rutherford — A sea of red-and-white-clad England supporters serenaded Jude Bellingham with The Beatles' "Hey Jude" after Saturday's 2-0 victory over Panama, a fitting soundtrack for the player who has become a focal point of England's World Cup campaign.
Bellingham delivered the breakthrough England desperately needed on Saturday, scoring once and setting up Harry Kane in the victory that secured top spot in Group L and a potentially smoother path through the tournament's knockout rounds.
After a laboured first hour during which England dominated possession but created little, Bellingham broke the deadlock in the 62nd minute, forcing home Bukayo Saka's corner from close range despite being tightly marked.
Five minutes later he clipped in a cross for Kane, who rose above his marker to head home for an historic 11th World Cup goal for England.
The joyous postgame moments were a stark contrast to his difficult season at Real Madrid marked by injury issues and inconsistency.
