LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Los Angeles Rams have unveiled two alternate uniforms designed to connect the current team to its rich California history.
At an event for season-ticket holders next to SoFi Stadium on Thursday night, the Rams revealed a new uniform that pays tribute to their 1951 NFL championship team with a yellow jersey and blue satin numerals in the style used 75 years ago. The Rams then introduced a white alternate uniform with blue numerals emulating the Rams' primary look during the 1960s, an era best known for the team's Fearsome Foursome defensive front.
The uniform with yellow jerseys and white pants is dubbed "Classic Sol," while the all-white alternates with blue numerals are called "Fearsome White." The Rams will still wear the three uniforms they used last season as well, including their main home and away looks along with their all-black "Midnight Mode" Rivalries uniform.
The Rams will debut their Classic Sol look on Monday night at home in Week 2 against the New York Giants, and they'll come out again for a high-profile Thursday night home showdown with the Kansas City Chiefs in December. The Fearsome White uniforms will come out on Thanksgiving Eve for a home game against the Green Bay Packers.
While designing these long-anticipated alternates over the past several years, the Rams' creative team focused on creating throwbacks with modern twists that will remind and educate the 21st-century fan about the franchise's roots.

The Los Angeles Rams revealed two new uniforms at their "Rams Revealed Live" event on Thursday night, finally unveiling the alternates fans have been waiting to see for months. They were in line with expectations, going the throwback route with both uniforms.
The first is a classic yellow jersey with white pants that pays tribute to the 1950s teams, featuring navy stripes on the shoulders and solid numbers on the front and back. The other is a white and navy throwback that honors the "Fearsome Foursome" era of the 1960s and 70s. With the white set, the Rams will wear a blue helmet with white horns instead of their usual yellow horns.
In addition to unveiling these uniforms, the Rams also announced when they will wear each one this season. Both will be worn at home, giving fans at SoFi Stadium a look at these classic jerseys.
The "Classic Sol" uniforms will debut in Week 2 against the Giants, and will also be worn in Week 13 against the Chiefs, both of which are prime-time games; Week 2 is on Monday night and Week 13 is a Thursday game.
The "Fearsome White" uniforms will only be worn once, on Thanksgiving Eve in Week 12 against the Packers on Wednesday Night Football.

The Los Angeles Rams are preparing for their second uniform release of the offseason after making subtle tweaks to their current set earlier this spring. On Thursday night at a special event for season ticket members, they'll reveal two new alternate sets that will be worn this season.
Rams players got a sneak peek at the two new alternates and they all seem to love them. The Rams have given no hints about what the uniforms will look like, but a yellow and blue jersey appeared to have leaked recently. There are also rumors that the other will be a navy and white throwback.
Based on this video, we can tell at least one of the alternates will be getting a new helmet. Matthew Stafford said "the helmet's sweet" when he saw the uniforms, so clearly it's something different.
Kam Curl also said, "I've been waiting on this to come back. I've been waiting on this." Might he be talking about a navy and white throwback?
Steve Avila had the best reaction, running out of the room in excitement.

Earlier this offseason, the Los Angeles Rams pulled back the curtain on updated uniforms and logos, slightly tweaking the brand refresh from 2020. But they aren’t stopping there.
The Rams will officially reveal two new alternate uniforms on July 23, the team announced on Tuesday. They are holding a special event for season ticket members that night, which is when the uniforms will be released.
It makes perfect sense, coming just two days before players are set to report to Loyola Marymount for training camp. It’s unclear how often the Rams will wear their new alternates, or what they will look like.
Some have speculated that the Rams will release a blue and white throwback, as well as a yellow alternate, though nothing has been confirmed yet.
These two new alternates will go with the Rams' classic royal jerseys, white jerseys and their almost-black Rivalries uniforms, giving them five to choose from this year.

When the Los Angeles Rams revealed their refreshed uniform set this offseason, they also announced that there would be two more alternate uniforms coming this summer. No date was given for those to be released, but they may not be too far off.
Allen Sales shared a screenshot of an email sent to season ticket members for a special event on July 23 at the YouTube Theater, which is located inside SoFi Stadium. It will feature Rams players, coaches and executives, with a “special surprise announcement” exclusively for season ticket members.
Sales is hearing the Rams’ alternate uniforms could be announced during that event, which is just before the first training camp practice on July 27.
It's a logical date for the alternate uniforms to be revealed, getting fans excited before the start of camp. The question is, what will the alternates look like? Will they go back to the classic blue-and-white look? Will there be a throwback yellow jersey? Something completely new?
We may not have to wait much longer to find out.

In the world of college football, there are teams that stand by tradition when it comes to uniforms, keeping things status quo and rarely introducing alternates or new looks, while others mix and match every single week. The Nebraska Cornhuskers certainly belong in the first camp, consistently rocking the same home and away jerseys every year for the past couple of decades.
Over the weekend, though, one announcement changed that. The Cornhuskers released images of their new jerseys, set to come out for the 2026 season.
The new uniform is inspired by what the school describes as 'classic Husker football design elements.' The jersey has two stripes across the shoulders, with player numbers featured on the sleeves. The jersey number font draws inspiration from the numbers engraved on an anvil. The numbers also feature interior lines inspired by crop rows, reflecting the state's agricultural heritage.
Despite all of the changes to the uniforms, the helmet for Nebraska won't change away from the classic "N" on the side, with a stripe down the middle.

Both starter Connor Prielipp and reliever Travis Adams were doing alright… until they weren’t. Some bad defense didn’t help, either! Inning-by-inning notes:
1: Oops Byron. We still love you, but oops. He hits one to left and admires it for a sec; it hits the wall and THEN Bux turns on the speed. He’s thrown out at second.
The Dbacks have their City Connect jerseys on (or their normal alternates, I do not know), and they’re a dark purplish-blue. They look like something that would glow under a black light. They manage a walk and an infield hit, but Connor Prielipp gets the ground ball third out. This time.
2: Weird. Starter Michael Soroka has to leave; something in his leg is bothering him. Hopefully it’s not the same stuff he had trouble with in 2020-2022.
RHP Taylor Clarke in; he’s part of a Very Good Dbacks bullpen. Well-struck ***** by Royce Lewis and Brooks Lee end up in fantastic catches by Lourdes Gurriel Jr. and Corbin Carroll (no relation to former Twin Jamie). Victor Caratini hit a solo shot, though! Not the guy you’d expect! We’ll take it.
