Joshua Vilmael, a composite 4* defensive back out of Richmond, Texas, and William B. Travis High School, committed to the Kansas State coaching staff this morning.
Vilmael, listed at 6’2”, 185 pounds, is currently ranked as the 307th best player in the 2027 class, the 35th best cornerback, and the 44th best player coming out of Texas. Joshua chose Kansas State over numerous high-major offers. He took an official visit to North Carolina earlier this month and had a visit set with Florida State this weekend before pulling the trigger on his K-State offer after his official visit to Manhattan.
Helping the Wildcats secure his commitment was his brother, incoming freshman defensive Josiah Vilmael, a highly regarded commit from the 2026 class.
