The Detroit Lions have seen their franchise completely turn around under head coach Dan Campbell. After making the playoffs just three times between the year 2000 and 2022, Detroit not only went to the post-season in back to back seasons in 2023 and 2024, but advanced to the NFC Conference Championship in 2023.
While 2025 was a down year (finished 9-8 and missed the playoffs) the team is looking forward to once again proving that they are a true championship caliber team in 2026. Unfortunately, one of their young wide receivers will miss the entire year.
Here are the details.
During practice this week, Detroit’s rookie receiver Kendrick Law tore his ACL. He will be unable to play in the upcoming season. On Tuesday June 2, Lions coach Dan Campbell reported that Law suffered the injury while participating in a non-contact drill.
“Hate it for him,” Campbell said. “The kid was doing a good job. But that’s – it’s part of it. It’s a harsh reality. He’ll get it out of the way early, have his whole career in front of him.”
