Wales centre Eddie James has signed a new contract with Scarlets.
After making his international debut in 2024, James became a Wales regular in the 2025-26 season under head coach Steve Tandy and now has 11 caps to his name.
The 24-year-old still had a year to run on his existing contract but has committed early to his home region.
"Growing up in the region and supporting the Scarlets as a youngster, the club means a huge amount to me," said James.
"It's home - and so it was an easy decision to extend my contract and I am delighted to be staying on at Parc y Scarlets."

Josh Adams believes Wales' daunting Nations Championship fixture against South Africa will be the litmus test of their progress under Steve Tandy.
The Welsh squad have travelled to Durban for their final game of the 2025-26 season after suffering a 35-21 defeat by Argentina in San Juan.
Wales took on the Pumas after wins against Italy in the Six Nations and Fiji in the Nations Championship opener, either side of a success against the Barbarians in an uncapped fixture.
They were given a reality check by Argentina and now face the toughest challenge of all when going up against the world champions at Kings Park on Saturday (16:40 BST).
"There's probably no harder test," admitted wing Adams. "It's certainly something that will test this group and it'll probably answer a lot of questions about where we are.

So that was the reality check most were expecting for Wales.
After back-to-back Test wins against Italy and Fiji, facing Argentina away in San Juan seemed maybe a step too far.
That is how it worked out as the Pumas scored five tries and were more than good value for their 35-21 victory.
Scotland's win in Argentina had given Steve Tandy's side some hope of an upset but this was a different Pumas outfit.
Wales showed no shortage of spirit to stay in the game and give themselves a chance of a pair of bonus points, with this result an improvement on the 52-28 hammering dished out by the Pumas in November 2025 in Cardiff.

Wales head coach Steve Tandy hopes his side have learnt the lessons from their previous painful experience against Argentina.
The Pumas celebrated a record 52-28 win in Cardiff in the first game of Tandy's reign in November 2025.
Wales have a chance to avenge that heavy seven-try defeat after heading to San Juan for round two of the new Nations Championship competition on Saturday (20:10 BST).
"It was our first game together and I thought Argentina gave us a lot of lessons," said Tandy.
"It's always relevant looking back at games, but we've also moved on."

Wales have arrived in Argentina to continue almost 60 years of history travelling to face the Pumas in their own backyard.
It has been eight years since Wales previously toured South America, although this will just be a passing visit with one Nations Championship game in San Juan before Steve Tandy's side move on to face South Africa in Durban.
Wales have never before made the 7,000-mile trip to play just one game on these shores, with the squad arriving in Argentina on two different flights.
There have been plenty of dramas and incidents during previous Wales visits to Buenos Aires and beyond.
BBC Sport Wales charts the colourful history of when the Pumas have hosted Wales.

Wales will arrive in Argentina tired but buoyed by their 39-24 win against Fiji at the Cardiff City Stadium.
It represented a second consecutive international success following the Six Nations finale victory against Italy, and a third successive win including the 33-31 uncapped success against Barbarians.
So what can Steve Tandy's side take from the victory at a half-full Cardiff City Stadium when it comes to trying to tame the Pumas in San Juan on Saturday?
Argentina might have just lost 47-38 at home to Scotland but Wales will remember the 52-28 heavy loss to Felipe Contepomi's side in Cardiff in November 2025.

Wales lock Dafydd Jenkins has been ruled out of the summer Nations Championship Tests because of a shoulder injury suffered with Exeter.
The 23-year-old is not in Steve Tandy's 33-strong squad for the fixtures against Fiji, Argentina and South Africa.
Jenkins, who started all five Six Nations fixtures, suffered a blow in the Chiefs' Prem final defeat by Northampton.
There are two uncapped players in Tandy's cut-down squad, Ospreys tight-head prop Ben Warren and Exeter back-row forward Kane James.
The head coach initially named a 48-man summer squad with the intention of trimming it after the uncapped fixture against the Barbarians, which they won 33-31 at Allianz Stadium.

Flanker Jac Morgan says he will back up "brilliant" captain Dewi Lake after the hooker retained the Wales role.
Lake took over as skipper when Morgan suffered a dislocated left shoulder in the act of scoring against Argentina in November.
The British and Irish Lions flanker has returned to the Wales squad after missing almost two campaigns but head coach Steve Tandy opted to keep Lake as his captain.
"I'm just looking forward to backing Dewi up," said Morgan. "He's a great captain, a great leader and someone you'll always follow into a game.
"I try and support Dewi as best as I can and we've got a good group of leaders on and off the field."

Cardiff hooker Liam Belcher has been ruled out of Wales' summer matches because of a neck injury.
Belcher, 30, was one of four hookers in the original squad named by head coach Steve Tandy alongside Cardiff club-mate Evan Lloyd, Scarlets front rower Ryan Elias and captain Dewi Lake.
Wales say Belcher suffered the injury during Cardiff's United Rugby Championship (URC) quarter-final play-off defeat against Stormers at the end of May and he has failed to recover in time.
No replacement has been announced with Dragons duo Brodie Coghlan and Elliott Dee, who will line up for the Barbarians against Wales this weekend, as potential options.
Cardiff captain Belcher is the third player to pull out of the summer series following injuries to Bath back Louie Hennessey and tight-head prop Keiron ******* iratti.

Wales will add another chapter to the historic fixture against the Barbarians when playing a double-header in Twickenham at the end of the month.
Steve Tandy's men will warm up for their Nations Championship Tests when facing the invitational side at 14:00 BST on Saturday, 27 June before Sean Lynn's women take to the field at Allianz Stadium at 17:00 BST.
The teams played a double-header in Cardiff seven years ago and now meet at the home of English rugby in an event hosted by Barbarians.
Before the start of another summer of international rugby, BBC Sport Wales looks back at the historic fixture.

Welsh domestic rugby might have finished at the end of May but there is very little rest for the Welsh national men's side.
Steve Tandy's team face four matches in successive weekends with the rugby season lasting until mid-July.
The uncapped men's and women's double-header against Barbarians on 27 June at the Allianz Stadium, will be followed by three games in the new Nations Championship against Fiji, Argentina and South Africa in July.
After four Six Nations defeats, Wales completed the tournament with a home victory against Italy but still finished bottom for a third successive year.
BBC Sport Wales looks at what is in store during the next month.

Scotland wing Duhan van der Merwe and Wales hooker Elliot Dee will start for the Barbarians in Saturday's fixture against South Africa (14:00 BST).
Van der Merwe features in the game against the Springboks before linking up with Gregor Townsend's squad for the Nations Championship.
Dragons hooker Dee, who has won 56 caps, missed out on selection in Steve Tandy's squad for the summer.
The pair are in a Baa-Baas side that is captained by New Zealand scrum-half TJ Perenara and includes Argentina fly-half Tomas Albornoz.
Edinburgh's D'Arcy Rae and Liam McConnell, who are also in Scotland's summer squad, feature along with Munster centre Alex Nakivell.
