Heading into the 2026 NFL season, there are some real question marks surrounding the availability of running back Ashton Jeanty for the Las Vegas Raiders.
He recently suffered an ankle injury and is now questionable for Week 1. But recently, during Klint Kubiak's Wednesday press conference, the Raiders head coach revealed some good news.
ESPN's Ryan McFadden shared that, when asked about Jeanty's status for Week 1 and whether he's optimistic he'll play, the Raiders head coach teased some good news with a smile and a one-word answer.
"When Klint Kubiak was asked if he felt optimistic about #raiders RB Ashton Jeanty's availability for Week 1 vs. Miami, he smiled and simply said: 'Yes,'" McFadden shared.

The Las Vegas Raiders are all the talk in the NFL right now. That's what happens when you have two superstar quarterbacks on your roster.
The Raiders, of course, have veteran Kirk Cousins and rookie Fernando Mendoza on their roster. They selected Mendoza with their No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft. Expectations are high. The sky is the limit. All eyes are on these two.
But, it's easy to ignore other parts of the puzzle when the quarterbacks are getting all the media hype. The Raiders may have another problem that they need to address before the season starts.
In a piece out on Saturday, ESPN's Ryan McFadden lays out a problem the Raiders have that perhaps they haven't addressed enough. It's their secondary.

Antrim manager Elaine Dowds hailed the "resilience" of her players, who rebounded from some turbulent times to book a return to camogie's senior grade for 2027 with victory over Laois in Sunday's All-Ireland Intermediate final.
Dowds was ousted as team manager after the 2023 season when Antrim reached a senior quarter-final, which led to disquiet in the camp and resulted in Brian Kearney and Mark McFadden stepping down prior to the start of the 2024 league.
Carl McCormick and Martin Coulter stepped in but the Saffrons would suffer Championship relegation and while they recovered last term to win promotion to Division 1A of the league, they were pipped at the semi-final stage of the Intermediate Championship by Offaly.
With Dowds back at the helm, Antrim finished the job this time around as they pulled clear in the second half with the Dunloy native delighted her players got their reward for staying the course.
"It's been a long time coming," Dowds told RTE Sport.

Las Vegas Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak is in the process of establishing a culture in his first year at the helm. That comes with a standard he wants everyone to meet — he made it clear Saturday that there are no exceptions.
"We have very clear expectations on how we want to practice and how we want to go about our business, and we violated that yesterday," Kubiak told reporters, according to ESPN's Ryan McFadden.
Because of the scuffle Kirk Cousins and Maxx Crosby got intto on Friday, the team's first-string quarterback and star pass rusher were both held out of practice on Saturday.
Kubiak said they will participate again on Monday, per McFadden.

Caeleb Dressel is back.
The nine-time Olympic gold medalist went out first and held off a stacked field to win the men's 100 freestyle in 47.70 on night one of U.S. Nationals. This marks his fastest swim since the 2024 Olympic Trials in a statement effort that the former Olympic champion in this event is trending toward his old form. It capped a big day for Dressel, who had already served notice with a sub-48 prelims swim earlier in the day.
Four men broke 48 seconds in the final, a level of depth that can energize fans of Team USA. Brooks Curry took second in 47.81, Patrick Sammon was third in 47.87, and Virginia's Maximus Williamson, fresh off his impressive freshman year, grabbed to fourth in 47.93. Perhaps most notably, American Record holder Jack Alexy was seventh, a sign he's saving his best for the Pan Pacific Championships in August. Jerry Fox, Grant House and Henry McFadden rounded out the field.
The other headline swim of the night came in the women's 100 freestyle, where Virginia's Anna Moesch broke her own American Record in 51.88.

The 2026 Northside Hospital Peachtree Road Race crowned its champions Saturday as elite runners and wheelchair athletes raced through Atlanta in the annual Fourth of July tradition.

In the Shepherd Center Wheelchair Division, Daniel Romanchuk successfully defended his ***** le for the ninth consecutive year, crossing the finish line in 19:00. Romanchuk, the course record holder, continued his dominance of the event with another first-place finish.
On the women’s side, Tatyana McFadden returned to the winner’s circle for the first time since 2021. McFadden captured her eighth Peachtree victory with a winning time of 23:02.
In the women’s elite field, Tsigie Gebreselama secured her place in race history, claiming the championship in 31:02 to become the 2026 Peachtree Road Race women’s winner.

Kirk Cousins doesn't want to be known as a mentor to rookie Fernando Mendoza, calling the ****** le "a bit of a reach." Instead, the veteran quarterback says the dynamic is a collaboration.
"[It's] more of a narrative than it is the truth," Cousins said Tuesday, via Ryan McFadden of ESPN. "They're pretty good players, pretty experienced, and I'm learning a lot from them, too, and asking questions to them.
"Nobody's leading more than someone else. I think we're all a working force together, helping each other, giving feedback, giving perspective [and] giving another set of eyes."
Cousins, 37, signed with the Raiders only three weeks before they drafted Mendoza with the No. 1 overall. Cousins has the most experience and the most knowledge of Klint Kubiak's offense, with the two having spent time together in Minnesota. But Aidan O'Connell, in his four season with the team, has the most familiarity with the organization.
Cousins said he, O'Connell and Mendoza have all participated in the learning process and pushed each other to get better.

Former Scotland striker James McFadden expects Steve Clarke to take an attacking approach during tomorrow's final World Cup warm-up match against Bolivia.
Clarke's side beat Curacao 4-1 at Hampden last weekend and now have one game on American soil before they take on Haiti in their Group C opener at Boston Stadium on 13 June.
"I think more of a focus on attacking, obviously making sure that you're solid defensively, but hopefully we get to see some of the young players again," McFadden told BBC Scotland.
"Findlay Curtis came on and did really well [against Curacao], scored a goal. Lawrence Shankland as well, so I think we will see more of an attack-minded focus on the game because we have to go and drive it that way."
McFadden isn't necessarily expecting Clarke to start a full-strength team against Haiti, but he believes some players who missed out against Curacao will return to the fold.
