It has been a gala summer for Real Madrid in terms of youth player sales, both directly from the Castilla and in terms of indirect profits from external transfers.
All in all, the club have pocketed over €200 million from player sales this summer, and a massive part of that has arrived from departures of academy stars.
The most recent operation finalised was the departure of Jacobo Ortega who left for Strasbourg, and Sergio Arribas is also said to be nearing a big-money move.
Now, Defensa Central highlights another young player who could enter the same situation.
As relayed by the Spanish outlet, former Real Madrid player and current Celta Vigo star Javi Rueda is nearing a departure from the club, and Los Blancos continue to hold a promising stake.

RC Strasbourg Alsace aren't exactly stacked in the attacking department. Emanuel Emegha left earlier in the summer to join Chelsea, whilst David Datro Fofana also returned to Stamford Bridge following the expiry of his loan deal with the Alsace club. Joaquín Panichelli, meanwhile, remains sidelined with an ACL injury that he sustained in March. He may not return before the end of the calendar year.
The arrival of Jacobo Ortega from Real Madrid is, therefore, a relief for Strasbourg, however, he is vastly inexperienced. Despite being just 21 years old, the same can not be said of Lucas Stassin, who, according to a report from RMC Sport, has now emerged as a target for Le Racing.
The Belgium international, who is currently consigned to playing a second consecutive season in Ligue 2 with Les Verts, is attracting interest from across Europe, including from Strasbourg. Stassin could, therefore, be on the move, before the closure of the transfer window.

STRASBOURG, France (AP) — Real Madrid has agreed to transfer center forward Jacobo Ortega to French club Strasbourg, the Spanish team said on Monday.
Madrid didn't provide any details about the deal for the 20-year-old, who scored in the UEFA Youth League final against Club Brugge last season.
After a 1-1 draw, Madrid won the competition — effectively the Champions League for under-19 teams — in a penalty shootout in Lausanne, Switzerland on April 20.
It was the club's second ****** le in the 12-year history of the UEFA youth competition.
Strasbourg said the forward had signed a contract till 2031.

Although the six signings made by Real Madrid would excite the fans the most, another very prominent aspect of the club's transfer market activity has been the sales of youth academy talent which have provided them with a very significant cash injection, reaching up to €200 million.
The most notable of these academy players and graduates who have undertaken moves away from the Merengue club this summer include Gonzalo Garcia, Nico Paz, Cesar Palacios, Victor Valdepenas, and Mario Martin. Meanwhile, Los Blancos have also earned money from the sales of players like Victor Munoz and Alvaro Rodriguez, other La Fabrica graduates on whom they had sell-on clauses.
However, these departures, and the earnings they entail, have not yet come to an end. As Diario AS has reported, another youth academy player, Jacobo Ortega, has now completed his move away from Real Madrid, as he joined the Ligue 1 side RC Strasbourg Alsace in exchange for €10 million. Los Blancos will keep 30% of the player's rights and have already confirmed his departure.
This is another very good piece of business from the Merengues, as the youngster becomes the club's most expensive sale of a player who had not yet made his debut with the first team. Ortega was still registered with the Real Madrid C team, but had already shown his talent and potential by being the top-scorer in the UEFA Youth League last season.
Jacobo Ortega has now signed a five-year contract with Strasbourg, and at 20 years of age, has taken a very important step in his career. Hopefully, he will continue to develop at the French club and turn out to be an important player for them going forward. The youngster still has several years of growth and development ahead of him, but if everything turns out well, he can become a top-level forward in Europe, and maybe return to Real Madrid one day.

Rea Madrid have officially announced the departure of academy prospect Jacobo Ortega, who has now signed for French club Strasbourg.
"Real Madrid CF and RC Strasbourg Alsace have agreed to the transfer of our player Jacobo Ortega," the club statement read.
Ortega joined La Fabrica, the Real Madrid academy, in 2018 as a 12-year-ld and has spent the past eight seasons with the Spanish capital club.
The last season was particularly successful one for the young striker has he scored goals for fun across three teams – Real Madrid Juvenil A, Real Madrid C, and Castilla.
Ortega also won the UEFA Youth League with the Juvenil A team this past season.

Arsenal are monitoring Como defender Jacobo Ramon, according to The Athletic. Mikel Arteta would like the Gunners to strengthen at the back with William Saliba and Jurrien Timber both currently injured. Ramon is on **** nal's shortlist, and the fans will get to see him in action at the Emirates Stadium tomorrow (Wednesday). The North Londoners take on Como in their last pre-season friendly before Sunday's Community Shield against Manchester City.
Ramon will be featuring in the game, giving **** nal another chance to run the rule over him before they make a final decision. Como have recently signed Trevoh Chalobah from Chelsea and could be open to selling the Gunners target for the right price. The 21-year-old Spaniard joined the Serie A club from Real Madrid last summer, making 37 appearances across all competitions. The 6ft 5in Ramon is an aerial threat and is comfortable in possession, qualities Arteta desires in his defenders as he eyes physically strong options in the position.
The Como defender won the Super Cup with Madrid in 2024, winning the European Under-19 Championship with Spain the same year. The chance to join a club regularly competing and winning major silverware could appeal to Ramon.

Over the course of the summer transfer window, Real Madrid have managed to raise almost €200m through player sales. Despite this, more stars are on the verge of being sold, with the vast majority being La Fabrica talents.
Earlier this week, Real Madrid sold Gonzalo Garcia and Cesar Palacios to Fulham for a combined €50m. Thiago Pitarch could be about to join them, while Jorge Cestero has been linked with a move to Ligue 1 side Lille. And now, the latest player added to the list of possible departees is Jacobo Ortega, who has been a revelation with Castilla over the last 12 months.
Ortega, who scored six times for Castilla during the 2025-26 season, is considered to be another top talent in La Fabrica. However, his pathway to the first team was blocked after Real Madrid moved to sign Carlos Espi, and now, it is taken for granted that he will depart on a permanent basis before the transfer window closes.
Right now, a move to France appears to be most likely. As per ESPN's Rodra, Real Madrid are in talks with Strasbourg over a deal for Ortega that could end up netting the club another €8m.
Any deal would include a 50% sell-on clause, which Real Madrid always insist on when selling La Fabrica players. However, this conditions means that Strasbourg are not prepared to pay €8m, and thus, they will attempt to reduce the cost during upcoming club-to-club negotiations.

Real Madrid have struggled to blood products from La Fabrica into the senior team over recent years, but they have become highly successful in selling them on to other top clubs in Europe. The production line at Valdebebas is operating successfully, and has now become a regular visit for scouts.
The success stories of Nico Paz, Rafa Marin, Chema Andres and Jacobo Ramon have alerted many clubs to the possibility of getting a talented youngster on the cheap, due to Los Blancos policy of selling low and then retaining a sell-on fee. Como, who signed both Paz and Ramon, in particular have taken an interest. The next to depart could be Victor Valdepenas, who made his debut under Xabi Alonso in December at left-back.
Valdepenas, who can at left-back or centre-back, is blessed with plenty of pace, and was attracting interest even last summer before his senior debut. As reported by Gianluca di Marzio, and carried by MD, Serie A side Bologna are interested in signing him. At 19, and with three years left on his contract, it would be no surprise to see Real Madrid cash in on Valdepenas, who already has plenty of experience with Castilla, and is probably ready for the jump up in level. Unless Jose Mourinho makes it clear he will use Valdepenas, he may also want more chances.
Valdepenas is unlikely to be short of options this summer though, with a number of big clubs having previously enquired about him. Last summer Borussia Dortmund held talks with Valdepenas, and for a significant portion of this season, ******* nal have been said to be following his progress. Valdepenas may well have a pick of destinations.

Liverpool's defence is one of their main areas that need upgrading this summer.
Virgil van Dijk and Andy Robertson were about the only defenders who had decent seasons for the Reds last term and, since the latter of the two has already left, there's clearly a lot of work to be done.
Giovanni Leoni and Jeremy Jacquet are obviously two options that the Reds have at their disposal but, since neither of them have played Premier League football and are both still young, there's a lot of worry about whether they have what it takes to be Van Dijk's partner.
This has led to rumours emerging left, right and centre about the future of the club and now, it feels like Richard Hughes and Andoni Iraola may have stumbled across the perfect player for them.

Meanwhile, there were three more players who impressed with their performances during the last season, although not with the Merengue team, i.e., Nico Paz, Chema Andres, and Jacobo Ramon.
All three of them seem ready to return to the white club, who still retain 50% rights of all of these players, and have several rights on them that can facilitate a return. They have all been linked with a return right this summer as well. However, according to a report from Diario AS, all three of them are set to stay put in their respective clubs, with the prospect of returning to Real Madrid in 2027 still alive.
One of these players, Nico Paz, seemed highly likely to return to the Merengue team this summer. However, he has asked to continue playing and growing at Como for now, aiming for a return to Spain in 2027, when Los Vikingos would be able to get him back for €10 million.
His teammate at Como, Jacobo Ramon’s return is currently difficult, mainly because of the overabundance of center-backs in the team, coupled with Mourinho’s desire for another experienced player for this position. Meanwhile, he is also enjoying interest from other top clubs, including Chelsea.
