Granada have renewed the contract of Moroccan striker Rayan Zinebi until 2029, before sending him out on loan to Real Madrid Castilla for the 2026/27 season, confirms Mundo Deportivo.
The agreement between Granada and Zinebi, who is currently representing Morocco at the 2026 Mediterranean Games with the Under-20 national team, extends his contract until June 30, 2029.
The deal also includes an option to extend it by a further two seasons, depending on the achievement of various sporting objectives.
At the same time, Granada and Real Madrid reached an agreement for Zinebi to spend the season with the Madrid club, initially joining their reserve side in the RFEF Primera Federación.
"Granada Football Club and Rayan Zinebi , a player for Recreativo Granada Club , have reached a renewal agreement until June 30, 2029, with the option to extend for two more seasons depending on different sporting objectives," the official statement read.

Cycling superstar Tadej Pogačar won the opening stage of the 81st Vuelta/Tour of Spain by the narrowest of margins on Saturday, claiming the red jersey as overall leader for the first time in his career.
The Slovenian edged the short 9.4-kilometre individual time trial in his adopted home of Monaco, beating Britain's Ethan Hayter by nine hundredths of a second.
Pogačar is still missing an overall victory at the Vuelta.
The 27-year-old has dominated cycling in the way Belgian icon Eddy Merckx used to. Pogačar's long list of achievements includes a record-equalling five Tour de France ****** les including in July, two world championship ****** les, victory at the Giro d'Italia and numerous wins in the classics.
At the end of the 3,275-kilometre Vuelta, he wants to stand on the top step of the podium at the finish in Granada. That would mean Pogačar has won all three Grand Tours.

SOUTH BEND — Former Notre Dame football defensive end Junior Tuihalamaka might get another crack at college football after all.
After going undrafted and unsigned in the spring, Tuihalamaka was among 16-plus football players named in a successful class action lawsuit on the part of 2022 signees who were not given a fifth year of eligibility under the NCAA's new age-based eligibility parameters.
According to On3.com, the 6-foot-2, 255-pound edge rusher has entered the transfer portal as of Thursday afternoon, Aug. 20.
A product of Granada Hills, CA, Tuihalamaka has a younger brother, Alifeleti, who gave his nonbinding commitment to USC in early May as part of the 2027 recruiting class. The younger Tuihalamaka is a four-star defensive lineman listed at 6-4 and 260 pounds.
Niuafe "Junior" Tuihalamaka was credited with a combined 45 quarterback pressures over his final two seasons with the Irish. A core special teams performer in his first three seasons, including his freshman year in 2022, Tuihalamaka backed up Boubacar Traore off the edge in 2025.

MADRID, Aug 15 (Reuters) - A magnitude 5 earthquake struck the southern ‌Spanish city of Granada in ‌the early hours of Saturday, with the regional government saying houses and cars were damaged but no injuries had been reported.
The quake hit the metropolitan ‌area of ⁠Alhendin just after 1 a.m. (0000 GMT).
Spanish television channel TVE showed ⁠debris strewn on the street and some damage to cars in the popular tourist city. Andalusian emergency services ‌rescued a number of people from damaged buildings.
Antonio Sanz, the Andalusia region's top emergencies official, said on Saturday there was no damage to the ‌Alhambra palace, an important example of Andalusian Islamic architecture.
"There is no serious structural ‌damage, no serious material damage and there are no casualties," he said, adding that the Alhambra had "not been ‌affected in any way".

In a recent report, Ideal Granada claimed that Liverpool are in the running to land Almeria playmaker Sergio Arribas. It has been mentioned that the Reds are eyeing a move to bring the Spanish talent to Anfield in this transfer window.
Arribas enjoyed a good run of form at the Spanish club as he put in a series of impressive displays for them on the offensive end of the field. The 24-year-old banged in 26 goals and secured seven ****** ists in 47 matches for Almeria last season in all competitions.
The Spanish talent is currently one of the most talented playmakers in his homeland. Thus, the Reds would do well to lure him to Anfield in this transfer window.
His current contract at the Spanish club will run out in the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for Liverpool to sign him on the cheap later this year.

Liverpool have already been active in the transfer window with deals for Jeremy Jacquet and Victor Munoz already wrapped up.
A move for another midfielder is expected with names like Adam Wharton and Alex Scott being heavily linked.
However, an attacking midfielder could also be on their radar. According to Ideal Granada, Liverpool have joined the race for UD Almeria star Sergio Arribas.
The report said: "The English club has set its sights on the Madrid-born attacker after his outstanding season with the Almería side, a campaign that has established him as one of the most sought-after players in the Segunda División and one of the best opportunities on the market, with 26 goals and seven **** ists in 46 appearances this season."
However, the report claims that Real Madrid will hold a 'significant' role in any negotiations for Arribas: "Real Madrid will also play a significant role in any negotiations. The club retained 50% of Arribas' economic rights when he transferred to Almería in the summer of 2023, convinced of the academy graduate's potential and the possibility of obtaining a substantial profit from a future sale. This clause gives Real Madrid a privileged position in any transfer that may occur during this window."

Auburn freshman infielder Delaney Aumua announced via her X account that she plans to enter the transfer portal.
The Livermore, California native made 34 appearances this season for the Tigers. She made 12 starts as the Tigers' designated player, with two starts in right field. Aumua recorded a .593 slugging percentage, 16 hits, four doubles, a .381 on-base percentage, four homers, and nine runs. Defensively, she totaled 20 putouts for Auburn.
Her debut for the Tigers came in the 3-11 loss to North Florida to open the 2026 season. She collected her first home run of the season against No. 9 UCLA, which was the solo run for the Tigers in that matchup.
As a recruit out of Granada High School, she was seen by Extra Inning Softball as the No. 21 prospect in the country. Aumua earned two East Bay Athletics League Offensive Player of the Year awards (2023, 2025), along with being named NCS Player of the Year in 2023.
Aumua will now enter the NCAA Transfer Portal with three years of eligibility left in her college career. She joins pitcher SJ Geurin by entering the transfer portal following the season.
