Equinix (NASDAQ: EQIX) said Wednesday that Chief Business Officer Jon Lin will separate from the data center operator effective July 18. The company made the filing on Tuesday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The filing lists July 8 as the earliest reported event date. Equinix will distribute Lin's responsibilities among its senior leadership team under a transition plan.
The company anticipates revealing a new chief product officer soon but did not identify the incoming executive. The filing did not name a replacement for Lin as chief business officer.
Lin joined Equinix in 2009 as director of innovation. Equinix promoted him to executive vice president and general manager of data center services in January 2022 after he served as president of the Americas.
Equinix previously credited Lin with helping develop Equinix Cloud Exchange, later renamed Equinix Fabric. He also helped lead the $3.6 billion acquisition of 29 Verizon data centers in 2017.
