LSU continues to make noise on the recruiting trail as the Tigers have emerged as serious contenders for Top-30 safety Karnell “Greedy” James, who is currently committed to Texas.
Now, LSU will get a chance to make its biggest impression yet as the highly touted defensive back heads to Baton Rouge this weekend for an official visit.
At 6-foot and 175 pounds, James is considered one of the top safety prospects in the country and remains a priority target for multiple programs despite his commitment to the Longhorns.
Official visits often play a major role in the recruiting process, and LSU will look to use the weekend to strengthen its relationship with James while showcasing everything the program has to offer. The Tigers have built a reputation as one of the nation’s top programs for developing defensive backs, something that continues to resonate with elite prospects.
While Texas still holds James’ commitment, LSU’s emergence this late in the process is noteworthy. If the Tigers can make the most of this weekend’s visit, they could position themselves as a legitimate threat to flip one of the nation’s top defensive backs.

There's been a significant amount of interest in tracking New York Jets rookie quarterback Cade Klubnik at OTAs.
Understandably so. The fanbase is looking for a young quarterback to attach hope to. Klubnik had impressed in early sessions, but Tuesday's was of the rougher variety.
Klubnik went 2-of-5 during 11-on-11 team drills, according to ESPN. The former Clemson standout overthrew his target on one incompletion and there was an errant throw on another dropback. It's worth noting one of Klubnik's three incompletions was a dropped pass.
Offensive coordinator Frank Reich's 7-on-7 drills reportedly weren't any kinder to Klubik.
The fourth-round quarterback finished 3-of-9. He threw an interception down the sideline to cornerback Tre Brown. The turnover appeared to have rattled Klubnik, who followed his interception with a few more misfires. The Jets' offense reportedly worked on a lot of third-and-long, placing the rookie quarterback at a disadvantage.

Jalen Brunson scored 30 points as the New York Knicks erased a 14-point second-half deficit to stun the San Antonio Spurs 105-95 and take a 1-0 lead in the NBA Finals on Wednesday.
Knicks talisman Brunson shrugged off an early injury scare to inspire a magnificent fightback and give New York a precious early advantage in the best-of-seven series, with game two set for Friday.
Brunson upstaged Spurs superstar Victor Wembanyama with a masterful clutch fourth quarter display, scoring 13 points in the final frame as the Knicks closed out a win to silence an expectant home crowd in Texas.
The game was tied with just over two minutes to go, but Brunson marshalled the Knicks brilliantly and a late burst of scoring put the game out of the Spurs' reach.
"Just sticking together -- it wasn't really our night and wasn't really my night most of the night but we kept finding a way, kept chipping away," Brunson said afterwards.

Senior Kyle Harrison fired a four-hitter with 10 strikeouts to power the Delsea Regional High School baseball team into the South Jersey Group 3 final with a 4-1 win over Toms River South on Wednesday.
The fourth-seeded Crusaders (19-6) will look for its second sectional crown in three seasons when they host seventh-seeded Mainland in Friday’s sectional final.
Harrison has been on a heater since May 12, only allowing one run in his last five appearances. The 10 strikeouts were his third double-digit K game of the season and he’s only allowed two hits and two walks over his last 14 innings.
Harrison threw 112 pitches in his gem, silencing South for the final six innings after it pushed a run across in the first.
Delsea’s offense was powered by leadoff hitter Milo Gebhard, who knocked in two runs and swiped a pair of bases. Dom Montana and Andrew Weir also drove in runs for the Crusaders.

Barcelona are planning to adjust Marc Bernal’s contract to match his growing influence in the first team, according to Mundo Deportivo.
Bernal spent the 2025-2026 season gaining ground under Hansi Flick. He started the year working his way back from a severe knee injury that sidelined him for a while, but the 19-year-old midfielder eventually won a starting spot in the double pivot in midfield. A leg injury and a later ankle sprain halted that momentum, but his form still earned him a spot on Luis de la Fuente’s reserve list for the senior national team, even if he is slated to stay with the under-21s during the FIFA World Cup.
While his fortunes have been on the upswing, things have gone differently for fellow academy graduate Marc Casadó. Flick promoted both players during the 2024 preseason tour of the United States to cover for Frenkie de Jong, but Casadó has since dropped out of favor. In fact, he faces a potential exit to help fund a move for Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva.
Bernal, meanwhile, became untouchable in midfield. He even added a goalscoring threat to his game, netting five times in all competitions, including a brace against Atlético de Madrid in the Copa del Rey semifinals and a close-range finish in the 7-2 UEFA Champions League thrashing of Newcastle United.
However, according to MARCA, the manager has told Bernal he needs to take another step forward and fight for his place again come next season. The manager will have plenty of options in midfield, including De Jong, Gavi, and possibly, Bernardo Silva, to partner Pedri in the midfield trio.

Angel Reese came to Atlanta to win.
In the nearly two months since the Chicago Sky traded Reese to the Atlanta Dream, the star forward has repeatedly expressed her championship motivations for joining the Dream.
“I wanted to win,” Reese said in late May. “I wanted to come somewhere where I was gonna be able to win, and it was the perfect fit for me. […] Off the court, I knew this was gonna be the place for me. Everybody knows that. But on the court, I wanted [to go somewhere] so I could help a team get to the championship because I’ve won at every level. I want to win a WNBA championship, no matter what it looks like for me.”
So, Reese likely won’t be overly fazed by the new ways in which she’s writing herself into WNBA history, but it’s still worth celebrating.
In WNBA Commissioner’s Cup play on Tuesday, Reese recorded 12 points, 13 rebounds, and five ******* ists in the Dream’s 91-75 win over the Connecticut Sun in Atlanta.

As the Brazil U-17 National Team began its first training camp on the road to the World Cup in Natal (RN), head coach Carlos Eduardo Patetuci balanced squad renewal with maintaining a solid core. One of the players retained from the team’s last engagement is forward Kauê Furquim, one of the athletes Patetuci entrusted with the task of helping players experiencing their first call-up to the Seleção settle in, and who promises to give back in whatever way Brazil needs.
“I want to help my team. One-on-one, ***** ist, goal. Let’s go, Brazil!” Kauê Furquim said when asked how his qualities can help the national team at the start of this cycle. The energy reflects the player’s feelings after being away from the Seleção for just over a month, following the team’s third-place finish at the South American Championship in the category, played in April in Paraguay.

“It’s always good to be here, especially with new faces. We’re always welcoming the new guys who are arriving. And we keep working, now with the World Cup in mind. We have to work hard, we’ve got a tough friendly coming up against the United States and, God willing, everything will work out,” he said.
Although the group has only had two training sessions, and only on Tuesday (2) did it have all 24 players available, the forward is confident of a strong performance. After all, even with changes in personnel, the Seleção still has its main virtue: the talent that is in Brazilian football’s DNA.

"I hope that over time you can understand and forgive."
Those were the words of Southampton manager Tonda Eckert, speaking to supporters in a video apology published by the club's in-house media team on Tuesday, following the Spygate scandal which led to his team being thrown out of the Championship play-offs.
The 33-year-old said he took "full responsibility" for the charges Southampton admitted during the English Football League's (EFL) investigation into the club's spying practices involving three matches in the 2025-26 season.
But he also doubled down on his previous claims that spying is common practice in Germany and Italy, where he worked before joining Saints initially as Under-21s manager last summer, and insisted that "none of what has happened made any impact on sporting performance".
In an exclusive interview with BBC Sport, Southampton owner Dragan Solak said his plan is to allow Eckert to remain in his job, despite the controversy and damage done to the club's reputation.
