Houston Rockets forward Tari Eason is one of the more coveted restricted free agents this offseason, with many teams searching for defense on the perimeter. For that reason, Houston may have competition in re-signing the LSU product after he averaged 10.5 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.2 steals on 35.8% from 3-point range.
Recently, NBA insider John Hollinger revealed a prediction for Eason's value this summer. Hollinger estimated that his next contract would be worth $75 million over three seasons. Hollinger also expressed belief that Houston would re-sign Eason, saying, "One presumes the Rockets would match reasonable offer sheets given their mostly manageable cap sheet."
However, this does open the door for a non-contender with more cap ***** e to put pressure on the Rockets by signing Eason to a much more lucrative offer sheet.
