It feels as though Giannis Antetokounmpo is slowly starting to slip away from the Golden State Warriors despite the 2025-26 season still ongoing.
Whether suggesting that the Warriors may choose to retain their first-round pick as opposed to using it to acquire Antetokounmpo or citing that the Miami Heat are currently leading the Antetokounmpo sweepstakes, several reports have made it challenging to envision the two-time MVP in a Warriors uniform.
The Stein Line’s Jake Fischer’s recent report involving Antetokounmpo and Stephen Curry added insult to injury, as the notable NBA noted that he isn’t a firm believer that the Dubs could acquire the 10-time All-Star in the upcoming weeks.
"I'm not looking at Golden State really as a Giannis team either," Fischer said last Tuesday. “I have been told that Giannis isn't exactly enamored with moving to the Western Conference in general, let alone going and being second fiddle to Stephen Curry.”
