The Pittsburgh Steelers have reportedly signed tight end Darnell Washington to a four-year extension.
ESPN NFL insider Jeremy Fowler reported on Wednesday evening that the Steelers and Washington agreed to a four-year, $42 million deal that includes $21 million guaranteed.
Pittsburgh selected Washington in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft out of Georgia and he’s been a key part of the offense. Washington is a huge part of the run game as a blocker, but he’s also gotten better as a pass catcher as of late.
During OTAs, new Steelers head coach Mike McCarthy also had plenty of praise for McCarthy.
