Declan Doyle has spent years around NFL quarterbacks, but Baltimore's new offensive coordinator said Lamar Jackson stands apart from anyone he's coached. Asked what has stood out most since arriving in Baltimore, Doyle immediately pointed to Jackson's athleticism and throwing ability.
"Lamar Jackson is the twitchiest athlete that I've ever seen on the field, just with your own two eyes," Doyle said.
While Jackson's mobility is well known around the league, Doyle believes one aspect of his game still doesn't get enough attention.
"The ball just jumps out of his hands when you're watching him," Doyle said. "He's a very arm-talented thrower."
Doyle explained that studying Jackson on film is one thing, but seeing him throw in person provides a different level of appreciation.
