A week after setting new records for finishes and first-round finishes in Serbia, the UFC tried to keep the stoppage momentum going back home.
And while the frequency wasn't there the way it was a week prior, the promotion ushered in its remodeled and expanded Meta APEX venue era with a solid set of stoppages – including a 35-second stinger that spoiled a record-holder's retirement fight.

One of Carolina's key offensive players had an injury scare during Tuesday's practice, but should be OK sooner than later.
Head coach Dave Canales told reporters in his press conference that receiver Xavier Legette appeared to have suffered a stinger on a rough landing after making a catch during the session.
"Made a really nice play, high pointed it … came down really hard," Canales said. "Went in, evaluated him, cleared him of a concussion. But it looks like a stinger, so we're going to evaluate him more over the next day or so and make sure he's in the right spot.
"He wouldn't be playing in this game, but we have a nice little window to get him turned around and just see where he's at."
The Panthers are playing the Hall of Fame Game against the Cardinals on Thursday night, with their following practice slated for Sunday.

The supermodel unveiled her new hairstyle ahead of the big day, with the look being dubbed as an updated version of the C-cut, sweeping, face-framing layers that curl inwards to form the coveted 'C' shape – think Jennifer Aniston's "Rachel" haircut.

"A bit more lift on the roots and the first layers start hitting a little below the chin till the tips of the hair! It creates basically an illusion of heart shape layers! Volume on the top and more narrow at the bottom! In this case you can create an illusion of contour with the haircut so the face looks more structured! Always this haircut looks good with a mid part! A big round brush, pin the hair up till they cool down after brush the hair with your fingers and last spray some hairspray till you create your heart shape Layers, your LoveLayers!"

Apparently not everything was cool among teammates when Josh Naylor, now with the Seattle Mariners, was with the Cleveland Guardians from 2020 to 2024.
Well, at least that’s the way it appeared from an exchange between Naylor and Guardians catcher Austin Hedges at the top of the sixth inning during the Sunday, June 28 game between the two teams.
Naylor, up 1-0 in the count, leaned into pitcher Tim Herrin’s pitch intentionally to get on base, drawing Hedges’ ire.

The Northern Super League (NSL) returned from a week-long break with another string of unpredictable results, with Ottawa Rapid FC taking the lead in the table.
For weeks, the Montréal Roses looked untouchable. They sat at the top of the standings and seemed destined to extend their lead. Instead, the door for Ottawa opened and they were forced to settle for a late draw in Toronto.
Of course, DB Pridham wasn’t going to let that opportunity go to waste.
A commanding 3-1 victory over Vancouver Rise FC had ended their impressive winning streak. Unfortunately, it also sent the Rapid to the top of the table for the first time this season. Here’s the stinger: Ottawa is a genuine ****** le contender.
