Albeit likely the most recognizable, Carly Simon is certainly not the only famous, or talented, person in her family.
The "You're So Vain" singer is the daughter of Richard L. Simon — the "Simon" in legacy publisher Simon & Schuster, which he co-founded with M. Lincoln Shuster in 1924 — and Andrea Heinemann, a civil rights activist and singer. She followed in her mother's musical footsteps in the early 1960s, starting a music group with her sister Lucy Simon as the Simon Sisters, and now, so have her children gone on to follow in her own.
In July 2026, the singer-songwriter, 83, in a statement to **** O!, revealed that she had been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, as well as and basal cell carcinoma, over the past few years. "So many people have written to me, kindly wondering about my relative silence, asking how I am and what I have been doing," she began. "The truth is, I've been learning how to live with Parkinson's disease."
Learn all about Carly's two kids below, but first, her relationship with their father, fellow musician James Taylor.

Giants receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster was in attendance for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding at Madison Square Garden on Friday with his fiancée, Laura Kruk.
Kruk was seen leaving the Ritz-Carlton NoMad wearing a Sau Lee gown — and, ironically, Abigail Anderson, who is best friends with Swift, wore the same dress while leaving the same hotel.
The dress included a beige corset top with flower designs and a ruched brown silk skirt.
Smith-Schuster and Kelce were Chiefs teammates during the 2022 season, which culminated with Kansas City defeating the Eagles 38-35 in Super Bowl 2023. The receiver came back for a second stint during the 2024 and 2025 seasons.
Smith-Schuster signed with the Giants last month.

Joe Manganiello is opening up about the brutal health battle that nearly upended his life — a story at odds with the rugged, larger-than-life persona he's built on screen for decades.
The True Blood and Magic Mike actor's new memoir, Bloodlines, traces a seven-year medical odyssey that began with what he describes as "a cascade of autoimmune-related illnesses," People reported Tuesday, June 23.
The illness attacked his skin, thyroid, eyes, lungs and digestive system, plunging him into seven years marked by "chronic pain, a life-saving organ amputation, existential crisis and a prolonged fight for survival that left doctors with few answers and no clear explanation," per the book's publisher Simon & Schuster.
When modern medicine came up short, Manganiello, 49, details how he turned to an unconventional path that included shamans, pagan rituals and ancient myths, ultimately tracing his own bloodline to uncover ancestors shaped by violence, displacement and chronic illness.
"It was the most brutally difficult time of my life, one I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy, but also my greatest adventure," Manganiello said, according to People. "I hope that what I went through on this journey can give readers hope that answers and healing may lie for them on the other side of whatever they are fighting through. The process of writing this book gave me the gift of perspective that helped me to see that my suffering was a cocoon from which I would emerge forever changed."

A new Tom Cruise biography is putting one of Hollywood's most famous and most private movie stars back under the publishing spotlight.
Tom Cruise: A Life, written by bestselling author Jeff Benedict, will be published by Avid Reader Press/Simon & Schuster on Feb. 23, 2027. People revealed the cover and described the book as an unauthorized biography built from personal records, court documents and hundreds of interviews with people in Cruise's orbit.
The book will examine the actor's screen career, private life, marriages and long public **** ociation with the Church of Scientology. The publisher is framing it as a full portrait rather than a simple career recap, with Cruise's movie-star discipline placed alongside the parts of his life he has kept tightly controlled.
Cruise has spent more than four decades as a global box-office force, but his offscreen life remains unusually difficult to pin down for someone so visible.
The official Simon & Schuster page says the biography begins with Cruise's childhood as Thomas Cruise Mapother IV, a Catholic boy from Kentucky whose estrangement from his father became part of his early story. From there, Benedict follows the move into acting and the drive that turned Cruise from a young performer into one of the most bankable stars in film history.

Will New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart be one of the best players at his position in fantasy football next season?
Dart has a revamped group of teammates around him in the Giants' offense for next season. Malik Nabers is set to return from his torn ACL and give the Giants a potential 1,000-yard receiver once again. New York signed Darnell Mooney, Odell Beckham Jr., and JuJu Smith-Schuster, three former 1,000-yard receivers, to give Dart more exceptional talents to target in 2026.
All signs point toward Dart having a big year in 2026.
NBC Sports' Matthew Berry, in his way-too-early positional rankings for the 2026 fantasy football season, has Dart ranked No. 9 overall among quarterbacks for 1QB re-draft leagues using full points-per-reception scoring.
Dart earned 241.58 fantasy points last season in ESPN PPR leagues. The Ole Miss product is projected by ESPN to throw for 3,689 yards with a 21-10 touchdown-to-interception ratio in 2026, as well as 553 rushing yards and seven rushing touchdowns on his way to 300.94 fantasy points on the year, which ranks No. 7 at the position.

Giants working out more than just Odell Beckham Jr. on Monday originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
The New York Giants are bringing Odell Beckham Jr. in for another workout after doing so before the 2026 NFL Draft.
But OBJ isn't the only one: Art Stapleton of NorthJersey.com reports that Big Blue is also taking a look at Braxton Berrios, Juju Smith-Schuster and Anthony Miller.
The Giants' interest in wide receivers come in the wake of the team losing wideout and returner Gunner Olszewski to a torn Achilles.
Beckham and New York have been flirting with a reunion all offseason long. The injury to Olszewski only strengthens the possibility that happens.

49ers WR Jauan Jennings smacks Panthers safety Tre'von Moehrig postgame

San Francisco 49ers receiver Jauan Jennings wasn't approaching Carolina Panthers safety Tre'von Moehrig for a handshake and a hug after his team's 20-9 win on Monday Night Football. Jennings came up to Moehrig and struck him in the face mask with his right hand, then got in a left hand before the two were separated.
It's unusual to see a fight after a game when the teams come together, but earlier this season, Detroit Lions safety Brian Branch approached Kansas City Chiefs receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster after a Sunday ni
