Aug 10 (Reuters) - Nvidia said on Monday it has partnered with six major financial institutions to launch compute financing platforms aimed at raising over $500 billion in third-party capital for AI infrastructure.
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said on X that the company has the option to backstop up to $125 billion, or 25% of the poential deals.
The move highlights how surging demand for AI computing capacity is drawing institutional investors, as governments, companies and startups race to build out data centers to support AI workloads.
Big Tech companies have signaled that spending on AI would not slow down, with combined outlays set to surpass $730 billion this year.

Aug 3 (Reuters) - Palantir Technologies on Monday raised its annual revenue forecast again, signaling strong government and commercial demand for its data ****** ytics software, sending its shares up 14% in extended trading.
Denver-based Palantir has increasingly been marketing military-grade AI tools to businesses through its artificial intelligence platform that helps companies integrate and develop the technology.
"Our business is compounding at a rate and scale that we have never before witnessed," Palantir CEO Alex Karp said in a letter to shareholders.
The company, which enables government and enterprise clients to make decisions using their own data, forecast annual revenue between $8.150 billion and $8.158 billion, up from $7.650 billion to $7.662 billion earlier.

June 25 (Reuters) - BlackBerry raised its annual revenue forecast on Thursday, betting on continued momentum for its QNX division following the completion of its turnaround efforts, sending its Toronto-listed shares up around 19%.
Once a powerhouse in the smartphone industry, BlackBerry has shifted its focus towards software for connected devices and self-driving vehicles over the past several years.
BlackBerry's U.S.-listed shares also rose about 20% in early trading.
BlackBerry's QNX division, which provides secure real-time operating systems for mission-critical embedded systems most notably in the automotive sector, has maintained its strong growth trajectory, with revenue surging nearly 26% to $72.3 million during the first quarter ending May 31.
