CRAWFORDSVILLE, Indiana: Julie Beaumer won Moto 1 of the Ironman National to secure the overall victory via a tiebreaker over Chance Hymas.
This was Beaumer's second overall win of the season. He also won at Spring Creek.
With 12 minutes on the clock, Beaumer took the lead from Cole Davies and moved into the overall lead, but Chance Hymas was charging. He ran out of time, but the second-place finish in the race and overall was a moral victory of sorts.
The Moto 1 winner, Hymas crashed on the opening lap of the second race. He fell to the mid-teens on the first lap, then crashed a second time. It's not how many times you fall, however. Hymas remounted again and moved into the top 10 at the midway point.

The roster for the 2026 Motocross of Nations Team USA roster was announced on Press Day for the Pro Motocross finale at Ironman Raceway, and it features Chance Hymas in the MXGP class, Levi Kitchen in MX2, and the veteran Cooper Webb in the Open class.
"They're going to do a great job," said Mike Pelletier, Director of Racing. "I think these three bleed red, white and blue, to be honest with you. And they've been pounding on the door for a long time. They've been riding great this season. It's time to show them what the world knows again in France."
Hymas will lead the charge in the premiere class.
"I've been on Mike's door for a long time wanting to do this," Hymas said. "It's been a dream since I was a little kid, but very thankful to be going across the call with these guys. I think we have a really good team, honestly, and I'm excited for the challenge. Never been overseas. Definitely a lot of new culture shocks coming up."

Plans for Mansfield Town to expand its football academy have been given the go-ahead.
The planning applications committee at Mansfield District Council has approved an application from Mansfield Town Developments to build new facilities at the Radford & Hymas training site in Woburn Lane, Pleasley.
According to planning documents, the proposal comprises of an indoor pitch, an outdoor pitch with lighting, a gym building, and two new car parks.
A report prepared for the council meeting said the scheme would deliver "material benefits" through investment in sports infrastructure.
Mansfield Town opened the Radford & Hymas training facility in 2016, and in 2023 the club bought more land nearby from Nottinghamshire County Council to expand onto.

MECHANICSBURG, Maryland: Cole Davies used the first lap to evaluate the track and then took the lead from Chance Hymas to command the lead of the first Budds Creek moto as Levi Kitchen crashed and lost significant position on the course.
Davies entered the moto only one point out of the lead and immediately gained control of the championship battle.
Kitchen took a risk on the far inside gate and seemed to make the most of it. He was pushed off course on the opening straight and rode halfway down the straight on the grass, inside the course markers. Kitchen got the holeshot, but it didn't take long for him to waste the opportunity.
Early in Lap 1, Kitchen crashed and fell back to 17th.
Kitchen worked his way up to 10th until he ran through his tear-offs on Lap 5. He began to fall back with limited visibility, regained a spot, but as time ran off the clock, the AMA announced he would be hit a four-position penalty for riding inside the markers out of the gate.

Sacha Coenen put on a clinic of how to race on sand with a massive victory in Moto 1 at The Wick 338 in Southwick, Massachusetts. He jumped out of the gate quickly but nearly crashed in Turn 1, allowing Cole Davies to ride alongside.
The drama wasn't over for Coenen, who nearly crashed several times during the first lap, but once he completed the lap, he settled into a great rhythm and finished more than 33 seconds ahead of Levi Kitchen.
Last week, Jo Shimoda finished 11 seconds ahead of Davies for the largest margin of victory in the 250 division in 2026.
