At this point, ESPN NFL **** yst Dan Orlovsky is just as well known for his peculiar habits, particularly his food preferences, and life-hack hot takes as he is for his football takes.
All the way back in May 2022, Orlovsky exposed that he will only tolerate birthday cake if it's "ice cream cake because normal cake is gross," much to the disgust of his NFL Live cohorts.
Then, in April 2023, Orlovsky appeared on The Dan Le Batard Show and flaunted his love for plain chicken. "For me, I'm just like, yo, just give me chicken, and I'm fine," he said. "I routinely just eat plain, grilled chicken. Not seasoned. Just give me a piece of chicken, grill it, cook it, and I'll just cube that up and eat it."
This all came back around on Monday's NFL Live episode, as host Laura Rutledge presented Orlovsky with bland chicken **** with a birthday candle stuck in the middle. Orlovsky turns 43 on Tuesday.
"I don't understand the gripe with grilled chicken," Orlovsky said. "I'm actually gonna eat it."

TMZ founder Harvey Levin defended Dr. Anthony Fauci against a right-wing "witch hunt" after congressional Republicans grilled him about private diary entries from the COVID era that were leaked by Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) on Monday.
Opening his nearly five-minute statement saying he rarely uses TMZ to "vent personal feelings," Levin told viewers, "Watching Anthony Fauci before a congressional hearing taking the Fifth Amendment is just one of the most heartbreaking things I have seen in government in my lifetime."
While Levin said he did have problems with the way that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention "handled COVID," he added that he didn't think it was done "maliciously" but out of an abundance of caution.

He went on to call Fauci, who served as the head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases from 1984 to 2022 before stepping into the role of chief medical adviser to the president in 2021, an "amazing public servant" for decades, noting how the work he did during the AIDS crisis of the late 80s and early 90s "really saved lives."

While markets data shows that the global market for dining out is projected to grow from $1.9 trillion now to more than $3 trillion by 2030, many individual chains that were popular in another era are struggling to survive amid changing consumer trends.
U.S. chains like Smokey Bones, Peet's Coffee, and Joe's Crab Shack have collectively closed dozens of locations this year. Meanwhile, over in the United Kingdom, Leon and The Real Greek both nearly halved their store locations in 2026 despite once going through a period of rapid expansion that made them well-recognized chains in the country's major cities.
With the first location opening in the Greater London borough of Enfield in 1974, the restaurant chain Beefeater has, over several generations, earned a reputation for being a family-friendly steakhouse chain serving grilled steak cuts, burgers, and fish and chips at more accessible prices.
At its peak, the chain had approximately 140 standalone and Brewers Fayre brewery-attached locations in the United Kingdom and Ireland. But amid soaring operating costs the hotel and dining company Whitbread confirmed plans to shutter all remaining 106 restaurants by September.
Earlier in the year, Whitbread announced a restructuring plan that aims to bring down annual costs down costs by £250 million ($333 million USD).

Bill O'Reilly suggested that his longtime friend President Donald Trump "needs a breather" from his White House duties due to his age, even as the war in Iran still rages on.
"As you know, I've known the president 35 years, and he's 80 years old right now," O'Reilly, 76, said on Tuesday's episode of the "No Spin News" podcast.
Politics: Hegseth Grilled Amid Iran War Escalation, Thousands Of Flight Cancelled: Live Updates
Observing "that [Trump] is hunching over a little bit," O'Reilly continued, "that's normal. You get older, every malady in the world is going to visit you." He then advised the president to "take the next month off" and "get into an environment where you like golf, and relax a little bit."
O'Reilly made the comments amid the fallout of the Iran war after the Trump administration's interim deal with Iran to cease fighting collapsed. The U.S. and Iran continue to trade strikes as the shipping traffic in the Strait of Hormuz, an essential shipping chokepoint for global oil, has largely halted.

Matías Manna is the video ****** yst for the Argentina national team, so the message he sent about an Albiceleste tradition carries even more weight coming from him.
“An asado is better than 20 video sessions,” Manna said last year in an interview with Argentine newspaper Página 12. A former tactics blogger in love with the x’s and o’s of soccer, the Lionel Scaloni ****** istant still recognizes the importance of the human side of the game.
In Argentina, nurturing that human side often includes getting together to eat meat.
Argentina has a tradition of enjoying an asado after every win, which requires a lot of beef - and some chicken, which goalkeeper Emi “Dibu” Martinez jokingly branded “light cows” in a video he posted to social media. Chef Diego Iacovone has 500 kilograms pounds (more than 1,100 pounds) of meat imported from Argentina at his disposal.
As is tradition in Argentina, the various parts of the cow on offer make up a huge part of the discussion. "Today we have sausage, chicken, steak, vacío, ribeye and Anto is going to throw on a skirt steak," Iacovone tells Martinez in the video, referencing chef Antonia Farías. Provoleta, an appetizer of grilled provolone cheese with spices, also is on offer.

The Great American Tailgate challenge is underway, and Packers fans finally get the chance to prove what Wisconsin has known for generations: bratwurst is the undisputed champion of Lambeau tailgating.
USA TODAY and the Pro Football Hall of Fame are teaming up for a nationwide celebration of the foods that define football culture across all 32 NFL cities — and Green Bay's fan base is officially on the clock. This summer, fans nationwide will vote in a bracket-style tournament to determine America's Favorite Tailgating Food. Each team enters with one signature dish, and for the Packers, nothing represents the region better than a perfectly grilled brat — juicy, savory, sizzling over charcoal, and served with all the fixings. It's the flavor of Wisconsin, the heartbeat of game day, and the dish that fuels generations of fans through snow, cold, and unforgettable Sundays at Lambeau Field. Every vote you cast helps Green Bay advance through the bracket and also enters you into a giveaway for a $1,000 Pro Football Hall of Fame merchandise gift card. One lucky fan will walk away with the chance to stock up on Hall of Fame apparel, collectibles, and memorabilia. This contest is part of a larger national event in Canton celebrating the food culture of all 32 NFL cities. It's a showcase of regional pride, fan passion, and the traditions that make tailgating one of America's greatest rituals.
So gear up, Packers fans. Cast your vote, rep your city, and help bratwurst power through the bracket. Bragging rights are on the line — and Wisconsin's tailgate legacy is ready to shine.

President Donald Trump's nominee to lead the Justice Department's internal watchdog office repeatedly refused in his confirmation hearing to use the word "attack" to describe the violence on January 6, 2021, that disrupted Congress' election certification vote.
"I don't know if I would use the term 'attack,'" Don Berthiaume, the nominee to be the DOJ inspector general, told senators on Wednesday. "I mean, we had activity outside the Capitol —protests and such — and there was violence on the Capitol grounds."
Connecticut Sen. Richard Blumenthal, a Democrat, had asked Berthiaume if the Capitol was attacked on January 6, and he grilled the nominee on why he would not agree to characterize the events of that day as an attack.
"There was protest activity, people went to the Capitol grounds. People entered the Capitol building, which is contrary – as far as I know – to law," Berthiaume said, while stressing that he didn't "agree" with the term attack even as he acknowledged the "physical violence" outside the Capitol that day.
"The term attack — to me — seems to imply that there was a coordinated effort to attack specific things," the nominee added.

Madonna is chasing headlines by dishing details about her long-ago fling with John F. Kennedy Jr., sources say.
When the Material Girl, 67, was recently grilled about who gave her the best ***** ever, the "Live to Tell" singer swore she'd only name "dead people" and stage-whispered the late hunk's name, according to Page Six.
JFK Jr. — who died in a 1999 plane crash at age 38 with wife Carolyn Bessette — was briefly linked to the "Like a Virgin" hitmaker before his marriage, but Madonna had previously kept the intimate details of their romance under wraps.
Her bombshell revelation — while conveniently promoting her album Confessions II — generated headlines around the world, and according to insiders, that's exactly what the publicity-hungry Queen of Pop was counting on.
"Madonna knew that dropping JFK Jr.'s name would get people talking about her again, and that's all she cares about. She's shameless," a source says.

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass stayed silent on Monday as comedian Kathy Griffin accused her city's police force of being part of "White nationalism."
During an Instagram Live event, Griffin spoke to Bass about what she believed were unfair attacks against the incumbent mayor.
"I really think that a lot of the adversity comes your way because you're a Black woman," Griffin said, adding that the Los Angeles City Council and Los Angeles Police Department "can be hostile" against her.
