Colman Domingo called on men to stand with women. The actor said he would die a "feminist" while appearing on a fundraiser red carpet. Domingo also shared his thoughts on women's access to resources.
While appearing on Caring for Women Dinner's red carpet on Thursday, Domingo said men should stand with women. According to The Hollywood Reporter, he said, "Anytime I've been in rooms like this, I've thought, 'Look at all these female leaders' — but hey, we're the men. Men should be locking arms to make sure women have what they need in access and information and support. I was raised a feminist, and I'll die a feminist."
The actor also shared that supporting such organizations is important for him. He added, "It's always been important to me to stand firm with these organizations — not only in support, but with my presence."
Domingo served as master of ceremonies at the fifth annual fundraiser. Caring for Women Dinner is organized by Kering, the luxury conglomerate, with luxury brands including Gucci, Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen, Brioni, and others.
Many stars appeared on the red carpet to support the fundraiser. These included co-hosts Salma Hayek Pinault and her husband, François-Henri Pinault, Simone Biles, Pamela Anderson, Dakota Johnson, and Benicio Del Toro.

Robin Morgan, a former editor-in-chief of Ms. Magazine who co-founded the Women's Media Center with Ms. co-founder Gloria Steinem and Jane Fonda, died today, September 5, just several days after the passing of her friend and colleague Steinem. Morgan was 85.
Her death was announced by her son Blake Morgan and Julie Burton, president and CEO of the Women's Media Center. A cause of death was not disclosed, but her son noted that she died peacefully in her sleep. Robin Morgan was in her second decade of living with Parkinson's Disease.

Gloria Steinem, who passed away at the age of 92 on September 2, 2026, was many things: co-founder of "Ms." magazine, second-wave feminist icon, and even stepmother to Christian Bale. (Who knew?) She was also, throughout her life, a serious fashionista. Some may believe such a passion is necessarily at odds with a dedication to feminism, and Steinem certainly had many critics who questioned her focus on fashion, but she viewed her style as an extension of her activism, not a conflict of interest. Gloria Steinem's beauty philosophy went hand-in-hand with her feminist ideals, and so did her approach to fashion.

"Fashion in the past meant conforming and losing oneself," Steinem pointed out in the 2011 HBO documentary about her life, "Gloria: In Her Own Words," but "fashion in the present means being unique and finding oneself," she continued. For Steinem, that came to mean a "power outfit" (above) that often included a fitted Henley shirt, flared jeans, a low-slung belt, funky jewelry, and a rotating collection of political badges and ******* ons, topped with her iconic aviator glasses and highlighted hair teased to the sky. There was a purpose to her style beyond expression and confidence, however. "She made it okay to be attractive and to be a feminist," friend and designer Diane von Furstenberg told Glamour.

Jane Fonda and Barbra Streisand have led tributes to the late Gloria Steinem.
The trailblazing feminist activist died at her home in New York City on Wednesday. She was 92.
Following the sad news, Fonda issued a heartfelt statement via Instagram.
"Gloria, in her graceful, kind, and deeply intelligent way, changed the world we live in," she wrote. "(Gloria) had a clever, often funny way to say just what was needed to surface feelings and ideas about where we belonged, what our inchoate yearnings meant, whether power was a word that women could and should embrace for ourselves, and how different power looked when held in men's hands alone."
While her own message, Barbra recalled how she was "deeply impressed" by Gloria from the moment they met in the 1970s.
"What made her so extraordinary was not only the strength of her convictions, but the humanity and grace with which she expressed them," the legendary singer-actress mused. "Gloria once said, 'When unique voices are united in a common cause, they make history.' Her voice changed history, but her greatest legacy may be the countless voices she helped others find - and gave the courage to use."

At the outset, it's getting exhausting having to write about these things again, but alas, here we are.
In 1991, feminist journalist Susan Faludi wrote a book entitled Backlash: The Undeclared War Against American Women, where she contended that when women achieve social, political and cultural progress, a vicious backlash follows, usually manifesting from a sub-section of men who feel genuinely threatened by accomplished women.
This is by no means an unfamiliar phenomenon.
All four waves of feminism that brought major advances (the right to vote, reproductive rights, women ascending to leadership, #MeToo , etc.) were met with a full-throated effort to reverse them, whether through the political processes, acts of violence or online misogyny.
Now, that same dynamic has developed due to the soaring popularity of the WNBA in its 30th season.
