Talk of AI adoption is pervasive in PE, but would you trust the technology enough to let it manage your own firm? Ethos Capital is testing these limits.
The Boston-based PE firm spent around five years building Private Equity Transformation Research Agent—or Petra—an AI ******* istant trained on more than 50,000 data sources, including decks outlining every deal the firm has taken or passed on, as well as public information ranging from regulatory filings to news and video.
Today, Petra is woven into nearly every aspect of Ethos' business, from filtering pitch decks, running initial diligence, monitoring portfolio companies to managing investor relationships. Ethos even uses AI to track its own employees' work, according to Fadi Chehadé, co-founder and managing partner at the $7 billion investment firm.
Launched by Chehadé and Erik Brooks, two Abry Partners alumni, in 2019, Ethos targets middle-market companies with an enterprise value of $200 million to $2 billion, focusing on supply chain and logistics, insurance and financial services and digital platforms.

F1 championship leader Kimi Antonelli is making the most of his well-earned summer break like his fellow drivers, with a video of the Italian on stage during a DJ set by renowned group Meduza going viral on social media.
If there is one driver who headed into the summer break with every reason to switch off and enjoy himself, it is Kimi Antonelli. The Italian has enjoyed a superb first half of the season, claiming six victories in the opening 11 races and steadily strengthening his grip on the championship lead. He now holds a commanding 50-point advantage over Lewis Hamilton and sits an even more impressive 69 points clear of his Mercedes team-mate.
Antonelli is no stranger to joining Meduza on stage. During the 2025 summer break, the Italian made an appearance alongside the group at Phi Beach in Sardinia, with Meduza themselves later sharing footage of the moment on Instagram. The same happened again this year, with Antonelli stepping behind the decks and trying his hand as a DJ while enjoying the music.
After playing around with a few controls, Antonelli really got into the spirit of the moment, jumping along with the group and drawing an enthusiastic reaction from the crowd, who hardly expected to find the Formula 1 championship leader partying on stage in front of them.
While Kimi Antonelli was enjoying his time on stage with Meduza, Franco Colapinto's summer break in Italy took a much less pleasant turn. The Argentine revealed that the apartment where he was staying during a holiday on Lake Como was burgled, although he chose to make light of the incident on social media.

Seattle — The record will forever show that Max Clark made his Major League debut in Sacramento last weekend.
But his real big-league debut, in an actual big-league stadium, was here Tuesday, at T-Mobile Park, complete with three decks, brighter lights and a retractable roof. And some real big-league amenities. Like when he came to bat in the second inning and Mariners' All-Star catcher Cal Raleigh congratulated him on being called up.
Like, before the game, when his jaw nearly dropped to the ground when he walked out onto the field for the first time and saw one of his childhood idols ****** baseballs in center field — Hall-of-Famer Ichiro Suzuki.
"That was actually like my first, 'Oh my God' moment when I walked on the field yesterday," Clark said. "It was a very surreal moment walking out there and seeing him still taking BP and throwing. Just unbelievable. You see this huge stadium and then in center field, Ichiro is tracking ****** ."
Clark reached into his locker and, with a proud smile on his face, produced his most recent prized possession — a freshly autographed Ichiro game jersey.

Rutgers football has announced a new premium seating location at SHI Stadium called Touchdown Terrace, which will occupy the ******* e in the middle of the student section that used to be the team's recruiting lounge.
The announcement on Scarletknights.com described the ******* e as a private, exclusive hospitality ******* e overlooking the south end zone of SHI Stadium that offers fans the best of both worlds: an outdoor viewing experience that immerses them in the GameDay atmosphere, paired with private restrooms and an enclosed ******* e featuring upscale food offerings for a comfortable premium experience. According to the announcement, the ******* e can be used to accommodate one large group or several smaller groups and offers a cash bar as well as pregame access.
Prices for this premium ******* e likely have to be negotiated on a case-by-case basis, as they were not announced in the press release.
This seems to be a step in the right direction for Rutgers athletics as they try to find a way to fully monetize SHI Stadium up to its highest potential. From what I saw by attending gamedays, the area sat mostly empty as the recruits preferred to sit closer to the field. If my own observation is correct, than their isn't much at risk by turning this area into premium seating.
Now that this area has been flipped into premium seating, it would not be surprising to see if they make some changes to other areas around the stadium. Since this area has a similar purpose as the party decks, to provide the half inside/ half outside game day experience, it wouldn't be surprising to see them turn a few of the party decks into luxury boxes.

Manchester United want Crysencio Summerville. According to journalist Ekrem Konur, the Red Devils are willing to pay up to £50 million for the electric Dutch winger, viewing the 24-year-old as the perfect direct replacement for Marcus Rashford on the left flank. They need urgency. He has it.
The queue does not end at Old Trafford. Paris Saint-Germain are clearing the decks for a competing £43 million bid to tempt him across the Channel. Roma, Napoli, AC Milan, and Tottenham Hotspur are also keeping tabs. This explosion of continental interest comes down to one thing: the winger is absolutely shining for the Netherlands at the ongoing World Cup.
Dropping into the Championship on the final day of the season completely wrecked West Ham's position. Everyone knows they are vulnerable. Relegation forces hands, and reports suggest his actual price could easily slide to between £30 million and £40 million because of that financial hit. Clubs smell blood.

Selling your best ****** et after going down is a bitter pill. Doing it on the cheap? Madness. The board must block out the noise regarding that supposed £30 million discount. By shining for the Oranje this summer, Summerville is doing the hard work for them, inflating his own value with every single game.
