Here's your open thread for Thursday!
Just one of the greatest sumo matches of all time. I dare you to ask me about it. FYI, the celebration Hakuho did here is one of the most shocking moments in sumo history (wrestlers aren't supposed to celebrate).
RIP in piece Tim Curry. This is what I think of when I think of him, how about you?
I think about him laughing his way through this Command and Conquer video (and them keeping it in!) all the time.
And one more Tim Curry video.

Diego Ferreira want to revisit a fight with King Green, one that slipped away at the eleventh hour in 2025, or face another long-time veteran in Jim Miller if he's victorious against this Saturday at UFC Vegas 120, when he takes on Billy Quarantillo at the Meta APEX.
Green was forced off his UFC 319 clash with Ferreira after sustaining an injury a day before the official weigh-ins, and the Brazilian said his plan is to call him out for a proper fight after he gets through Quarantillo in Las Vegas.
"I was really focused on that fight, and I still want to fight Bobby Green," Ferreira told MMA Fighting. "First of all, because he's been fighting and beating everybody, so I hope it happens. If it's not Bobby Green, then I want to fight Jim Miller. I admire him as well. Just look at how many fights he's had in the UFC. So I want one of those two. After this fight, I don't want to wait too long. I want to get right back into the mindset of fighting."
Ferreira said he's expected to face Mairbek Taisumov in a grappling match in ACBJJ in the coming months, and then re-enter the octagon as quickly as possible. Ferreira dropped his past two in the UFC against Grant Dawson and Alexander Hernandez. Green, on the other hand, won four straight against the likes of Terrance McKinney and Jeremy Stephens, with Miller also coming off a bonus-winning finish over Jared Gordon.
Ferreira moved on to fight Hernandez less than a month after the Green match-up fell through, and feels that cutting weight twice in a such a short period of time affected his performance. This time, however, Ferreira guarantees "my preparation was 100 percent for this fight."

Here's your open thread for Monday!
A fight you might have missed this weekend, from BRAVE CF.
The various warm-ups are always fun to watch out for in sumo.
I posted that question in the headline since I have tickets to the tennis tomorrow.
Looks interesting.

On Saturday, the leading MMA promotion heads over to The South Caucasus to present another edition of UFC Fight Night.
The card is set to take place at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku, Arzebaijan. UFC Baku will be headlined by a matchup at 155 pounds, when Rafael Fiziev takes on Manuel Torres. "Ataman" has just one win in his last five outings. He will aim to bounce back from a TKO loss against Mauricio Ruffy at UFC 325 in February. Fiziev's last victory came over a year ago, when he defeated Ignacio Bahamondes by unanimous decision in June 2025. Torres is coming off two consecutive stoppage victories, most recently a TKO win over Grant Dawson last December. Since his UFC debut in 2022, "El Loco" has put together a 5-1 record.
Below, you can catch up on all the UFC Baku results and fight-ending highlights.
Nascimento def. Abdullayev via TKO (4:28 of Round 3)
Matsumoto wins via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

At last, Thailand's trans men and masc-of-center lesbians are getting their moment in the sun — or in this case, on the stage. The Tom Thailand 2026 will be the country's first-ever beauty pageant uplifting masc-of-center lesbians, transmasculine people, and trans men.
Organized and owned by Bunnada Thippibal, known in many ******* es as Phi Lek, the pageant isn't just about presentation or suits; contestants will be judged based on their confidence, character, and self-expression. The novel Tom Thailand 2026 pageant was announced on June 15 during a press conference by Calypso Cabaret, trans performance group, at the Asiatique The Riverfront in Bangkok, per TimeOut Thailand.
Though the country is known for its beauty pageants, many of which uplift trans women and kathoey, a pre-colonial transfeminine gender identity specific to Thailand, there has never been such an event focusing on "toms," or masc-of-center lesbians and transmascs. Because Thailand is the only country in Southeast Asia to have never been colonized by European countries, it has preserved its rich history of gender variance. The goal of the show is to put toms and trans men in the public eye, and highlight their excellence.
Joining Phi Lek will be Wilailak Sirisakhon as pageant director, as well as masters for the contest Anant Semathong, also known as Mae Uan Return, Winit Bunchaisri, and Thachai Prathumwan, a musician known as Keng. The competition will be hosted by social media creator Mod X and actor Thanaphol Khiaoorn. The coaching team will include Patitthaya Khwantrakun, Sumonrat and Piyawan Chuentako.
