Tennessee baseball announced on June 4 that it has fired pitching coach Josh Reynolds.
“I want to thank Josh Reynolds for his hard work and dedication to the Tennessee baseball program during his two seasons in Knoxville, but I have decided it’s best for our program to move in a different direction from a pitching standpoint at this time," coach Josh Elander said in a school release.
Reynolds spent two seasons with the Vols, first as director of baseball operations and pitching performance in 2025 before being promoted for Elander's first season as head coach in 2026. He replaced Frank Anderson, who followed former coach Tony Vitello to the San Francisco Giants when Vitello was hired as their manager in October 2025.
Tennessee had a team ERA of 4.72 this season as it went 38-22.

The Florida State are pounding the pavement in an effort to bolster their 2027 recruiting class. Last weekend, four-star running back Jayden Miles was on campus for an official visit.
The 6-foot-2, 200-pounder has been a top priority for the Seminoles, and his latest trip to Tallahassee has shaken up things in his recruitment. He's still scheduled to visit the Ohio State Buckeyes this weekend, but he will no longer be taking official visits with the LSU Tigers and Kentucky Wildcats.
According to Sam Spiegelman of Rivals, FSU has ascended immensely when it comes to Miles. He has updated his RMP forecast in favor of Florida State landing the Baton Rouge Catholic High School star. Of course, everything will depend on what Ohio State does in their final attempt to persuade Miles, but this is very encouraging news for the Seminoles as they look to secure their first running back pledge in 2027.
Recent quarterback commit, three-star Logan Flaherty, mentioned earlier this week that he'd be visiting FSU throughout the summer to help with recruiting. He was also on campus last weekend when Miles was there, and he has been in contact with him about committing to Florida State. Apparently, he's doing a great job in that respect.
Miles has set his commitment date for July 4. They can't let up this close to the finish line. In fact, they need to dig in even more to get him to commit.

The Browns traded away the current defensive player of the year when they dealt Myles Garrett to the Rams earlier this week, but they emerged from the trade with the last two defensive rookies of the year.
Jared Verse won the prize in 2024 and linebacker Carson Schwesinger gave the 2025 Browns a pair of award winners on the defensive side of the ball. Verse has not been a member of the Browns for long, but the edge rusher knows enough about his new team to know that Schwesinger provides him with a comfortable security blanket.
“Man, that boy can fly," Verse said, via a transcript from the team. "Nah, he can work. I like that a lot. I like knowing that behind me that I can . . . I don’t got much to worry about if something, you know, I can play freely because I don’t have to worry if something gets by me. He’s going to be able to handle that. He’s going to be able to clean everything up. So now that’s the exciting factor of it.”
The Browns did not win much with Garrett on the roster, but they usually had a strong defense. The presence of Schwesinger and others provides reason to believe that will continue to be the case and the hope is that the other **** ets that Cleveland acquired will lead to more victories while Verse is a member of the squad.

In the classic film Field of Dreams, James Earl Jones, as Terence Mann, offers the line, “Baseball has marked the time.” I think it’s time for Mr. Mann to rethink his ******* ertion. In truth, the American sports calendar is marked by NFL football. To say the NFL has become a year-round passion is an understatement. The calendar starts with OTAs and the preseason. Then moves into the soap-opera saga that is the regular season. It continues through the playoffs, and culminates with the single biggest sporting event in the country each year: the Super Bowl.
It doesn’t stop there. Soon afterward comes the NFL Scouting Combine, free agency, and the NFL Draft. Thanks to this past Monday, we can now add one more date to that chronology: June 1.
This year, the date was all about two of the most significant trades in recent memory. Defensive end Myles Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams and wide receiver A.J. Brown to the New England Patriots.
So, when rumors become reality, where does the football viewer go for the latest information? The answer is ESPN’s NFL Live.
Marvelously hosted by Laura Rutledge, the June 1 edition of NFL Live became the top destination. Not only for news of the trades but also for deep ******* ysis of the deals.

The Los Angeles Sparks entered Tuesday night's matchup against the Las Vegas Aces looking to build momentum early in the 2026 WNBA season. Before the opening tip ever arrived, however, one player had already become the center of attention.
That player was Cameron Brink.
The third-year forward has become one of the WNBA's most recognizable stars, and she reminded everyone why before the Sparks even stepped onto the floor at Crypto.com Arena. A simple pregame arrival quickly turned into one of the most talked-about moments of the evening as fans flooded social media with reactions to Brink's latest appearance.
For a league continuing to grow in popularity and visibility, Brink has become one of the faces helping drive that momentum.
