After it was clear FC St. Pauli and Alexander Blessin would part ways, the Hanseatic club are looking for an instant successor as coach.
Now, according to Sky Germany's sources, the recently relegated Bundesliga side are said to be interested in Marcel Rapp.
The 47-year-old led Holstein Kiel to the Bundesliga in 2024 and was initially allowed to stay even after their immediate relegation.
However, when demotion back to the 3. Liga loomed in the 2025-26 campaign, Kiel wasted no time in giving Rapp the chop.
According to Sky, an agreement between Rapp – who was recently linked with Arminia Bielefeld – and FC St. Pauli is still pending.

The controversy surrounding Erling Haaland and the Real Madrid presidential elections continues to generate headlines, with a fresh report now revealing direct contact between the player’s camp and Florentino Perez.
According to MARCA (h/t Madrid Zone), Haaland’s agent, Rafaela Pimenta, personally contacted the current Real Madrid president following claims made by presidential candidate Enrique Riquelme regarding the Norwegian striker’s future.
The development comes after one of the most dramatic days of the election campaign, with transfer promises, public denials and political manoeuvring all becoming intertwined.
The latest chapter began when Riquelme publicly declared that Erling Haaland would become a Real Madrid player if he won the presidential elections.

The Carolina Panthers cut bait with outside linebacker DJ Johnson, one of the biggest draft busts in franchise history, over eight months ago. But somehow, their decision to move up and select him back in 2023 was made to look even worse this week.
Between Tuesday and Wednesday, the Pittsburgh Steelers gladly handed over contract extensions to pass rusher Nick Herbig and tight end Darnell Washington. Herbig inked a pretty massive four-year, $100 million pact while Washington struck a cool four-year, $42 million agreement.
So, what do they have to do with Johnson and the Panthers?
Well, Herbig and Washington landed in Pittsburgh thanks, in large part, to the trade former Carolina general manager Scott Fitterer made to take Johnson. Fitterer sent the Steelers the 93rd and 132nd overall picks of that draft in exchange for the 80th—which would be used on the very raw 25-year-old defender.
Pittsburgh then scooped up Washington with No. 93 and Herbig with No. 132. (Those picks, by the way, were initially acquired by the Panthers in their trade of superstar running back Christian McCaffrey.)

The wait is finally over. The NBA Finals begin tonight. This is the first NBA Finals appearance for the San Antonio Spurs since 2014. The Spurs have been in four NBA Finals since 1999 (2003, 2005, 2007, 2014). This marks the first NBA Finals appearance since 1999. In the lockout shortened 1998-99 season the Spurs defeated the Knicks in five games for the Spurs first NBA **** le.
The journey for the Knicks and their fans has been a different story. In the time that's passed since 1999, the Spurs have enjoyed five **** les while the Knicks have been much less effective. Following the 1999 season, the Knicks have only made two conference finals. The 2000 season and this year. There will be several storylines within these NBA Finals. Starting with Game 1, the biggest question will be is this a return to glory for the Knicks or the coronation of Victor Wembanyama as the face of the league?

The Washington Commanders returned to the practice field on Tuesday for the second week of OTAs. Head coach Dan Quinn and offensive coordinator David Blough spoke to the media before practice.
It was another chance for quarterback Jayden Daniels to take snaps under center in Blough's new offense. Most importantly, the OTAs are an opportunity for some of Washington's current wide receivers to separate themselves ahead of training camp. And, according to Zach Selby of commanders.com, Luke McCaffrey and Treylon Burks are among those standing out.
Before practice, Quinn told the media to watch Washington's speed at multiple positions.
"A couple of things you'll see today, first off, you'll see speed, and that's I think one thing that should jump out to you at a number of different spots," Quinn said.
So, what else happened during Tuesday's OTAs? Courtesy of the Washington media in attendance in Ashburn, here is a collection of videos and photos from practice.

OKLAHOMA CITY – The odds were in Tennessee softball's favor going into the Women's College World Series semifinals.
The No. 7 seed Lady Vols had to lose twice to miss their first berth in the championship series since 2013 – but when faced with the very best the reigning national champions had to offer, they did just that.
Tennessee lost 5-2 to No. 2 seed Texas in the first game at Devon Park on June 1, forcing an elimination game for a trip to the finals. When the moment was bigger than it has ever been for this young Lady Vols team, they were bested by the Longhorns, who had been there, done that before.
Texas returned the core from its national championship team, while Tennessee only had four hitters in its lineup from last year's WCWS run. When the stakes skyrocketed and demanded the best players rise to the occasion, that experience separated the Longhorns.
In the second game of the day, Tennessee (49-12) was eliminated in a 4-0 loss to the Longhorns (51-12), ending a roller coaster of a season in the WCWS semifinals for the third time in the last four seasons.

Renegade was made the 2-1 morning-line favorite during Monday’s draw for the Belmont Stakes, set for Saturday, June 6, at Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, New York.
Renegade, runner-up in the Kentucky Derby, drew the No. 4 post in a field of nine for the $2 million, Grade 1 Belmont.
The race is being held at Saratoga because of renovations at Belmont Park, the traditional host track located in Elmont, New York. Because of the change in tracks, the Belmont will be contested at 1 1/4 miles instead of 1 1/2 miles.
Post time is set for 7:04 p.m., and FOX will have live coverage from 3-7:30 p.m.
The Belmont will mark the racing return of Kentucky Derby winner Golden Tempo, who skipped the Preakness. Golden Tempo drew the No. 9 post and is 9-2 in the morning line.

Head Coach: PJ Fleck (10th year, 66-44 at Minnesota, 96-66 overall)
2025 Record: 8-5 overall, 5-4 Big Ten
Quick 2025 Recap
Minnesota completed its second straight 8-5 season, thanks to an overtime win over New Mexico in the Rate Bowl. Their most notable wins from the season include a snowy 17-7 win over bitter rival Wisconsin for Paul Bunyan’s Axe and a 24-6 beatdown of a then 25th-ranked Nebraska team, which almost immediately blew up the “Matt Rhule-to-Penn State” hype train. Unfortunately for the Gophers, their other two games against ranked opponents ended rather poorly, suffering a 42-3 shellacking at No.1 Ohio State and a 42-13 beatdown at 7th-ranked Oregon. They also got waxed 41-3 against their other bitter rival, Iowa at Kinnick Stadium and lost a close one at Northwestern, 38-35. Overall though, for program standards under PJ Fleck’s tenure, it was about par for the course.
