Dolly Parton's sister, Stella Parton, reflected on why the late singer chose not to publicly share her cancer diagnosis in a new interview released on Thursday.
"Dolly could not bear negative things, and she would not have wanted her fans worried about it," Stella Parton, 77, told Gayle King of "CBS Mornings" with a smile. "She didn't want a lot of the family worried about it."

She said, "Some of us knew, the ones that were closer," but added that "not every relative" was informed.
