JE Dunn Construction is expanding its advanced technology group with a power generation unit, according to an Aug. 26 announcement shared with Construction Dive, and it's selected a leader internally to helm the division.
The Kansas City, Missouri-based builder tapped Ryan Wilson to lead the sector as vice president and market lead, per the announcement. Wilson joined the construction firm in 2018 as a project engineer, per his LinkedIn. Previously, he was a senior project manager focused on power, industrial and manufacturing work.
In this new role, Wilson will work with the firm's clients, industry partners and internal teams to develop new delivery strategies and identify market opportunities for the segment, per the announcement.
JE Dunn cited the burgeoning growth of artificial intelligence infrastructure, the manufacturing onshoring boom and aging power infrastructure as the key drivers of the surge in power generation projects. JE Dunn, thus far, has completed more than 220 power projects across all generation types.
