Borussia Mönchengladbach newcomer Daiki Hashioka has avoided serious injury to his cervical spine and has shown no signs of neurological impairment after a head collision, the Bundesliga club said in a statement on Sunday.
Hashioka took a blow to the neck and head in a collision with Antonio Nusa during the 3-0 defeat at RB Leipzig in their league opener on Saturday, and was carried off on a stretcher.
