Norway's Crown Prince Haakon and his wife Mette-Marit marked their silver wedding anniversary by posing for a new photograph, published on Tuesday, in the grounds of their home at Skaugum estate.
"25 years filled with love, family and a life together," the royal household wrote beneath the photograph, which it shared on Instagram to mark the anniversary. The picture shows the crown prince and princess smiling and dressed in summery outfits.
The couple also posted photos on Instagram of a trip they took after their wedding, showing them on the beach at Long Island.
The couple married 25 years ago, on August 25, 2001, at Oslo Cathedral. The past few months have not been easy for them. The crown princess, who has a serious lung condition, received a transplant earlier this year. Haakon and Mette-Marit are celebrating their silver wedding anniversary in private as she recuperates.
