The Washington Huskies capped off their 2026 training camp with Saturday's mock game inside Husky Stadium. The evening event allowed fans to enjoy the final stages of summer while hearing from coach Jedd Fisch and gave a first look at the team before the regular season begins.
Despite some standout performances that show the kind of talent on the roster, the biggest takeaway from the night had nothing to do with the play on the field. Rather, the biggest win is the fact that the Huskies remain completely healthy as they look to turn the page towards their season opener in the Apple Cup against the Washington State Cougars.
"Glad we got through camp pretty healthy, really healthy, I think. We're getting everyone back at the right time, so [we] should have everyone back, or close to it, starting for practice on Sunday," Fisch told the media after the scrimmage.
Although Washington didn't suffer any severe injuries throughout training camp, there are a few key names that have been limited over the past two weeks. Center Landen Hatchett, cornerback Dylan Robinson, and right guard Champ Taulealea were among the starters who have not been a full-go in recent practices. However, Fisch said he expects them all to be practicing by as early as next week.
In recent years, the Huskies have suffered drastically from the injury bug, with outside linebacker Zach Durfree, cornerback Tacario Davis, and wide receivers Omari Evans and Rashid Williams among the list of players heading into the 2025 season who missed time due to injury.
