The Milwaukee Brewers have lost rookie shortstop Cooper Pratt for the foreseeable future following a right hamstring injury.
While replacing him overnight is impossible, the Brewers did their best to shore up the depth on the left side of the infield by adding Ji-Hwan Bae to the 40-man roster.
However, in doing so they had to create **** e, and that resulted in left-hander Drew Rom being designated for **** ignment.
Rom appeared in five games for Milwaukee this season, allowing just two runs across 5 2/3 innings while striking out 11 hitters in a small but encouraging sample size.
