The Cincinnati Bengals returned to the practice fields on Aug. 9 for a two-hour practice in the thick of the summer heat.
It was one of, if not, the hottest days of training camp so far with temperatures reaching a high of 90 degrees.
This practice was supposed to be one of the most challenging days of camp because of the upcoming preseason schedule. Cincinnati will have one more practice before hosting the Detroit Lions for the first preseason game of the season at Paycor Stadium on Aug. 13 at 7 p.m. ET.
Bengals coach Zac Taylor said the starters will play some in the first preseason game but didn't expand on how much. Taylor will speak to reporters in Cincinnati on Aug. 11 ahead of the preseason opener.
