Bournemouth announced on Thursday that the procedure on Araujo's left thigh had been successful after he picked up the injury while away with the squad at their Austrian training camp.
Reports linking the 24-year-old with a second spell at Celtic have continued since the end of last season, with Araujo previously adding fuel to the speculation himself.
