Simone Biles, wife of former Chicago Bears safety Jonathan Owens, arrived at Lima's Jorge Chávez International Airport in Peru on Monday night. She has recently been named a Global Ambassador for the Lima 2027 Pan American Games, and the countdown to the Lima 2027 Pan American and Parapan American Games has already begun. The spectacular event is expected to kick off at 3 PM on Thursday, Aug. 6, with Peruvians set to join in the celebrations.
Biles has shared some updates on her Instagram stories through a few photos, showing the US Olympic gymnast wearing New Balance shoes (model 9060), in a black outfit with matching goggles. From the background of the pictures, it looks like she is at the ancient Incan fortress and agricultural terraces of Ollantaytambo, located in Peru's Sacred Valley.
"Hi, everyone! It's so nice to be in your beautiful country. I can't wait to meet you all!" she said in a video post on X.
