The NFL doesn't have another owner as forward-facing as Jerry Jones, who also serves as the franchise's general manager and has always had a penchant for stirring the pot. According to Jones himself, he's "open to" bringing in a previous NBA owner who has a similar reputation.
Dallas Morning News' Calvin Watkins reported that former Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban is "open to" buying a stake in the Cowboys, and Jones is apparently willing to play ball.
"That's exactly why if you're me, you would be open to that is because of the man," Jones said to Watkins. "I have all the respect in the world for him and I know what he did for the Mavericks and what he's done for basketball.
"He's in additional to financial boatstreams of your team, you want to ******* ociate with the highest quality of [a person] who loves the game and then also at the same time wants to do something about it. Mark leads the way in that."
For Cuban's part, he said that he is " sure our Harbinger fund would be open to it," of buying an interest in America's Football Team.
