One of the Buffalo Bills' key offseason acquisitions has potentially suffered a training camp injury.
Safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson was carted to the locker room on Saturday, with reports indicating that he may have suffered a lower leg injury.
Sal Maiorana of the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle – part of the USA TODAY Network – noted that trainers were examining the back of Gardner-Johnson's leg, and he spent time in the medical tent before being carted off the field.
Maiorana also reports that Gardner-Johnson may have been rolled up on.
Videos from practice later showed that Gardner-Johnson was able to walk under his own power after exiting the medical tent. That isn't entirely an indicator of how severe the injury may or may not be, however.
