It's the offseason in the NBA, and there have already been a number of moves by teams looking to improve through trades for star players. Two former Kentucky Wildcats players have already been dealt to new teams, and Anthony Davis might join that list soon.
There has been talk of Davis moving this summer for months now, but recently rumors have swirled that the Golden State Warriors have an interest and are looking to make a move. ESPN's Shams Charania reported that the Warriors are going to pursue Lebron James in free agency, and attempt to add Davis as well via a trade with the Washington Wizards.
Davis will enter his 15th NBA season this year. He is a 10x All-Star, 5x All-Defensive team, and 5x All-NBA player who won a championship with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2020. That came playing with James, who could reunite with him with the Warriors.
The Lakers traded Davis to the Dallas Mavericks last year, who then traded him to Washington earlier this year. Injuries have been an issue for him in recent years, but when healthy, he can be a difference-maker. We'll update this story as it develops.
