Super Bowl ***** I champion and Green Bay Packers Hall of Famer Antonio Freeman has had a front row seat throughout the U.S. Men’s National Team’s FIFA World Cup exploits, watching on as his son Alex has shone at right back.
The USMNT, led by Mauricio Pochettino, has won both of its first two games this tournament, beating Paraguay 4-1 and Australia 2-0 to clinch a Round of 32 spot with a game to spare - a first for a U.S. men’s team at a World Cup.
The latter game proved particularly momentous for the Freeman family, with 21-year-old Villarreal star Alex scoring his third-ever international goal just before half-time.
