With the Major League Baseball trade deadline coming up Aug. 3, the Milwaukee Brewers are sitting in an obvious playoff spot, have a loaded farm system and would theoretically be players for some of the top names seemingly available on the trade market.
But can we really expect 2026 to look different from other trade deadlines?
Count Mark Feinsand of MLB.com among those who believe the Brewers will indeed be "aggressive" at the deadline, but what does that look like?
ESPN writer Jeff Passan put together "10 blockbuster deals that would rock the trade deadline" and arranged two deals involving a superstar going to Milwaukee. They would certainly count as aggressive.
Passan first proposed a deal that sends Detroit Tigers star left-hander Tarik Skubal to the Brewers for right-hander Logan Henderson, left fielder Josh Adamczewski and infielder Ricki Moneys. The latter two are among the more intriguing prospects in the Brewers organization, and Henderson is just graduating from prospect status into reliable major-league starter.

Theoretically, professional baseball players should be well versed in the rules of baseball. After all, they play it for a living. But even a 13-year MLB veteran can forget how to baseball, apparently.
With the Phillies suddenly in a battle with the Braves in the NL East race, Philadelphia was in prime position to force extra innings or win it in the ninth against the Dodgers on Tuesday. With Brandon Marsh at the plate in the bottom of the ninth, the Phillies had two runners in scoring position and one out.
One of those runners was J.T. Realmuto, and you'd be hard pressed to handle that situation worse than he did on the base path.
When Marsh sharply hit a ground ball to third, Justin Crawford was caught leaning towards home. At that point, Crawford was going to be out in a rundown. All Realmuto had to do was advance to third and stay there.
That's not what he did.

The Charlotte Hornets have been linked with interest in Schroder, league sources told HoopsHype. It's worth noting that Hornets executive Jeff Peterson is said to still be a fan of Schroder dating back to their time together in Atlanta.

Since Cleveland's season ended in a Game 4 loss to the New York Knicks in the Eastern Conference finals, sources say the team has had discussions about the possibility of trading Max Strus and Dennis Schroder. Strus is set to make $16.6 million in the final year of his contract. Schroder is still owed nearly $31 million over the next two seasons. Those moves would help Cleveland's salary cap situation. If the Cavs get below the punitive aprons, they could also theoretically orchestrate a sign-and-trade for James. — 6/30/2026 Cleveland Plain Dealer
Meanwhile, as the Cavaliers navigate James Harden's return and Wade's free agency, Cleveland's Max Strus and Dennis Schroeder have been mentioned in trade talks with the franchise currently projected over the second apron. — 6/28/2026 HoopsHype

Damian Pinas vs. Cesar Almeida squared off earlier tonight (Sat., July 11, 2026) at UFC 329 LIVE on Paramount+ from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. In an incredible knockout, Pinas stopped his opponent with a single right hand late in the first.
Outside of one brief wrestling exchange off a caught kick, this was entirely a kickboxing match in small gloves. Theoretically, this would favor Almeida, the veteran with more than 50 professional kickboxing matches. In reality, it was competitive the entire time. Almeida was a little slicker with his movement and setups, but Pinas hammered the lead leg and was coming very close with his nuclear right hand early in the fight.
In the closing seconds of the first round, he found the mark, planting his right directly on the chin to counter an inside low kick. “The Baba Yaga” tried to score the walk-off KO, but the referee forced him to throw one more strike before intervening.
Check out the video highlights below:
Wow … Pinas has incredible power. It’s still very early in his professional and UFC career, and there are still a lot of unknowns about his overall game, but can anyone deny that kind of one-hitter quitter power? He just smoked a world-class kickboxer at his own game, proving himself as a serious Middleweight prospect.

LIV Golf is still more than two weeks away from returning from its unintended 47-day summer break—a period that has given the league more time to ramp up its search for new investors.
The Saudi PIF is pulling its funding from LIV at the end of season, and some insiders have questioned whether the cash could dry up before the league’s final event of the 2026 season.
After next week’s Open Championship, the final men’s major of the year, LIV’s U.K. event is scheduled to begin July 23 at JCB Golf & Country Club. The league then has three events scheduled in the U.S. in August to close out the season.
While LIV CEO Scott O’Neil has said multiple times that he expects the PIF to deliver on its promise of funding the remainder of the 2026 season, he stopped short of guaranteeing that all four final events will take place as planned.
Ahead of LIV’s anticipated return to the course, Front Office Sports examined what league leaders have been pitching to potential investors, what a LIV 2.0 could theoretically look like, and how viable that all might be in 2027 and beyond.

Kawhi Leonard is going to be a member of the Toronto Raptors, and LeBron James is a free agent. It's 2018 again.
The Detroit Pistons, perhaps just theoretically, are among the teams that could be in the running for James, who informed the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday that he will take his talents elsewhere after eight seasons there.
Now 41 years old and entering his record 24th NBA season, James remains an all-around performer. His pending next move has become one of the summer's significant storylines.
James, the NBA's all-time leading scorer, averaged 20.9 points, 7.2 ****** ists, 6.1 rebounds and 1.2 steals on 51.5% overall shooting and 31.7% shooting from 3, his worst mark since the 2007-08 season. Even if the Pistons didn't have a need at power forward, James would be a strong fit. He's LeBron James, after all.
INSIDER: Despite sign-and-trade rumors, Pistons committed to retaining Jalen Duren

The United States marched into the last 32 of the World Cup on Friday with a 2-0 victory over Australia as Brazil rediscovered their scoring touch to eliminate Haiti.
A day after Mexico sealed their place in the knockout rounds, the USA emulated their fellow World Cup co-hosts with a clinical Group D win over Australia in Seattle.
A Cameron Burgess own goal in the 11th minute and a headed effort from Alex Freeman two minutes before half-time sealed a comfortable win for Mauricio Pochettino's side, who have advanced to the second phase of the tournament with a game to spare.
After an unconvincing build-up to the World Cup, the Americans have made a dream start to the tournament with Friday's victory following a stylish 4-1 demolition of Paraguay in their opening game last week.
A day of celebration for the co-hosts got even better later Friday after Paraguay's 1-0 victory over Turkey confirmed that the US would clinch top spot in Group D, ensuring a theoretically easier draw in the last 32.

Fusion is a holy grail for the energy sector, theoretically offering abundant, essentially zero-pollution power in a small physical footprint, without the need to use regional natural resources. There have been many milestones as the technology advances, and a new record in magnetic containment has recently been achieved.
The Wisconsin HTS Axisymmetric Mirror research team was able to create and hold a plasma using a magnetic field strength of 17 Tesla through high-temperature superconductor magnets, as Interesting Engineering reported.
The magnet systems were delivered to the University of
