Cher is still at her wit's end over wayward son Elijah Blue Allman and a source says she's barely communicating with anyone right now, with loved ones led by boyfriend Alex "AE" Edwards all struggling to get through, let alone lift her shattered spirits.
"This battle with Elijah is sucking the life out of her," reveals the source. "She's fighting so hard to save him and there's just no end in sight, especially now that her daughter-in-law is back in the picture and fighting to get herself named as his guardian."
As Globe previously reported, the "Believe" singer, 80, is attempting to establish a conservatorship over her son's estate following his psychiatric hospitalization. However, Allman's wife, Marieangela King not only opposed the petition but also argued that if the court should decide a conservator is necessary that she be the one appointed.
"Cher doesn't trust Marieangela as far as she can throw her. She says all she does is enable Elijah and use him for his money," snipes the source. "She's ***** -bent on stopping her, but it's taking a huge toll, especially because there's no end in sight."

That didn't take very long.
Twelve minutes into his Seattle Sounders FC debut, Dejan Joveljić opened his Rave Green account, announcing himself to the masses at Lumen Field on Saturday.
Following up with the would-be game-winning goal in the 48th minute added up to a dream debut for Seattle's new No. 9 before Robert Lewandowski and Chicago Fire FC spoiled the matinee match with a late response, forcing Joveljić and the Sounders to settle for a 2-2 tie.
Settling for the draw didn't dampen the excitement of bagging a brace in his Seattle debut.

Michael Wright, an actor known for his roles in the films The Five Heartbeats and Sugar Hill, has died at age 70.
Wright died on Wednesday, August 19, after suffering heart failure and complications of Marchiafava-Bignami disease, his family told TMZ.
Marchiafava-Bignami disease, or MBD, is a rare condition involving the erosion of the corpus callosum, the area that facilitates communication between the brain's two hemispheres, according to Verywell Health. Symptoms include paranoia, psychosis, seizures, dementia, difficulty speaking, and difficulty moving limbs, the site adds.
Born in New York City on April 30, 1956, Wright played Eddie, the troubled lead singer of a fictional R&B group, in the 1991 musical drama The Five Heartbeats, written by Robert Townsend and Keenen Ivory Wayans and directed by Townsend. Entertainment Weekly critic Owen Gleiberman said Wright gave a "a stunning performance" in the film and "makes [Eddie] sleek, with undercurrents of hostility and danger."
Three years later, Wright starred opposite Wesley Snipes in the crime drama Sugar Hill, written by Barry Michael Cooper and directed by Leon Ichaso. Wright and Snipes played Raynathan and Roemello Skuggs, respectively, two brothers working in the drug trade for the mob boss who ruined their family. Los Angeles Times reviewer Kenneth Turan said the film "at various moments … gets fine work from Michael Wright."
