Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani is dedicating the proceeds of Saturday's 50/50 Raffle to Dodgers Dreamfields 69 and 70 at Farnsworth Park in Altadena, the team's foundation announced.
The 50/50 Raffle allowed Dodgers fans to enter for a good cause: half of the money raised goes to one winner, and the other half goes to charity through the Dodgers Foundation.
Tickets are sold through stationary kiosks at Dodger Stadium and from dedicated raffle sellers.
Just this summer, the foundation has raised at least $34,000 per game, with thousands of dollars going to the foundation.

On August 13, Golar LNG (NASDAQ:GLNG) used its second-quarter earnings call to announce a fourth floating LNG unit, an order signed just hours before the call began. The Mark II vessel will be built at CIMC Raffles Shipyard in China and delivered within 2029, making it the earliest available liquefaction capacity anywhere in the world. Combined with an EBITDA backlog of $17 billion already locked in through Hilli, Gimi, and the FLNG Esperanza, the announcement reframes Golar as a company still adding capacity rather than one just running out its existing fleet.
The new order lifts Golar's controlled liquefaction capacity by 41%, from 8.6 million tonnes to more than 12 million tonnes once fully delivered. Management said that if the unit is chartered on terms similar to last year's Esperanza deal, annual earnings capacity could rise 50%, pushing run-rate EBITDA past $1.2 billion by 2030. That confidence rests on a shipyard bottleneck.
Samsung, the industry's biggest builder, isn't expected to have open capacity until 2031, and Wison in China is on track to book its next two large units, leaving it committed well into the next decade. Seatrium and CIMC, the only two yards actively converting FLNG units right now, have built exclusively for Golar. The operating record backs up the growth pitch. Hilli finished its eight-year Cameroon contract with 100% economic uptime and 156 cargoes delivered, Gimi produced 15% above its contracted volume in the quarter, and the Esperanza conversion is 74% complete and still on budget. Commodity-linked income is already showing up in the numbers: Hilli's contribution jumped to $37 million in the quarter from $10 million in the first quarter, helping push EBITDA up 20% sequentially to $127 million.
Growth at this pace isn't free. The CapEx budget for the fourth FLNG unit came in around $2.45 billion, roughly 10% above the $2.2 billion spent on Esperanza, a jump management tied to inflation in long-lead equipment like turbines and dual-fuel engines, parts now being bid up by AI data center and aircraft manufacturers too. That new unit also has no charter yet, so the 50% earnings boost management is pointing to is a target, not a locked-in number.
Meanwhile, Golar is still equity funding Esperanza, having put in $1.3 billion of its $2.2 billion budget, while carrying net interest-bearing debt of about $1.8 billion. Executives are counting on refinancing Hilli and locking in long-term financing for Esperanza to free up roughly $2.3 billion in liquidity, transactions that are still in progress rather than done. The commodity exposure that flatters earnings when LNG prices are high works the same way in reverse. Management's own sensitivity table shows EBITDA falling back toward $1.2 billion if prices settle near $8 per million BTU, well below the $1.9 billion implied by today's $15 forward price. And the disruption at Qatar's Ras Laffan facility, which knocked out an estimated 17 million tonnes of capacity for three

Our ******* ysts just identified a stock with the potential to be the next Nvidia. Tell us how you invest and we'll show you why it's our #1 pick. Tap here.
Secured a firm order for a fourth FLNG unit (Mark II design) with CIMC Raffles, increasing controlled liquefaction capacity by 41% to over 12 million tonnes.
Performance attribution for the quarter was driven by Hilli's 100% economic uptime over its 8-year Cameroon contract and Gimi overproducing 15% against contractual volumes.
Strategic positioning focuses on being the only 'FLNG as a service' provider, capturing demand for supply diversification following geopolitical disruptions in major export hubs like Qatar.
Management attributes the decision to proceed with a Mark II design to strong charter engagement and superior economics regarding CapEx per tonne and OpEx per MMBtu.

Anya Taylor-Joy attended a photocall for the launch of Lucky at Raffles London at The OWO this afternoon.
I know some of you aren't fans of these lingerie-inspired looks from the Tom Ford Spring 2026 collection, but there are people walking around London today wearing a lot less. Trust me, it really is that hot.
Anya wore a pale blue and black lace dress from the collection, having previously chosen the longer black version of the design for the Marrakech International Film Festival closing ceremony back in December. I actually like this shorter interpretation. It feels fresh, light and perfectly suited to today's soaring temperatures.
We're used to seeing Anya bring a sense of storytelling to the red carpet, but today was all about dressing for the heatwave, and she got it exactly right.
Black sandals and Tiffany & Co. jewellery and black sandals completed her look.

If you’re headed out to Dodger Stadium Wednesday night for the series finale against the Colorado Rockies, consider getting some tickets to the 50/50 raffle.
The money raised that night will go to help the victims of the earthquakes in Venezuela, a topic near and dear to the hearts of multiple Dodgers who hail from the South American country.
Eliezer Alfonzo, a catcher, learned just hours before making his MLB debut that his stepmother, Patricia, and younger sister, Eliana, had been killed in the two earthquakes that devastated Venezuela on June 24.
After the game, Alfonzo addressed the media, including speaking in English about the role his family played in his MLB journey.
Alfonzo said he spoke with his father — who previously played in the big leagues — and brother ahead of the game, though he mourned that his sister was unable to see his debut.
“Three weeks ago, (Eliana) told me she had a beautiful dream, but she wasn’t going to tell me anything until the dream came true,” Alfonzo said. “I’m pretty sure the dream was something about this. I wish she was alive to watch me play in the big leagues, but I know she’s in God’s eyes now. She’s going to protect me and she’s going to enjoy every moment that I am going to have.”

Thanks to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding, love and equanimity are in the air. Right?
Well, not for everyone. Though many are gushing online over the couple's celebrity-filled wedding extravaganza at New York City's Madison Square Garden July 3, the event has also drawn plenty of backlash from people saying they're over lavish weddings.
"'Let them eat cake' hits a little differently when the cake is served at a billionaire's wedding in Madison Square Garden," wrote one X user. "ur telling me that a billionaire had a wedding raffle of luxury items that she gave away to other members of the elite class of other billionaires and millionaires," wrote another. Swift and Kelce donated $26 million to charities across the country ahead of their wedding, but that seems to have done little to stunt the backlash. As another put it: "I truly think this was the most gauche, gaudy new-money (wedding) I have ever witnessed & I love Taylor Swift."
Swift and Kelce are far from the only famous couple to have their luxury wedding come under the harsh judgment of the internet. Remember Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez's wedding in Venice, Italy, which drew protests? Or when Bilt Rewards CEO Ankur Jain and former WWE wrestler Erika Hammond got married in a four-day spectacle in Egypt?
Mental health experts previously told USA TODAY that resentment toward displays of wealth often have little to do with the actual individuals involved. Usually, these harsh reactions stem from deeper frustrations people have with their own economic situations.

WASHINGTON – The Great American State Fair is underway at the National Mall to mark the United States' 250th birthday. But not everything is off to such a great start.
The event has quickly faced problems including power outages, melting ice cream – and a lack of representation from states that declined to send delegations.
While organizers ****** ured visitors all parts of the nation would be represented, at least 10 states and territories refused to participate, with many citing the price tag to send staff to the 16-day event as their reason for opting out.
Booths for Connecticut, Oregon, Washington, Maine, Alaska, the U.S. Virgin Islands featured just backdrops and chairs or carpets.
But other states went all-out for the semiquincentennial. The Texas booth allowed visitors to take photos with the Alamo, play with an interactive display for long-running music series "Austin City Limits" and sit inside a ****** eship. Meanwhile, the Nevada booth was Las Vegas-themed. California's booth offered attendees the opportunity to enter a raffle for a free vacation.

Four Scotland supporters enjoyed an even more memorable weekend than most in Boston as they became what the Red Sox believe to be the first UK winners of the club's 50/50 raffle.
Two father and son duos, Peter and Paul Innes and John and Ross Henderson, attended the Scotland Celebration night at the iconic Fenway Park the night after Steve Clarke's side defeated Haiti in their opening World Cup match.
They bought a $40 raffle ticket between them on Sunday as the Red Sox faced the Texas Rangers and "after checking the number 250 times" discovered they have won the $21,353.80 (£16,132.90) prize.
"It's just surreal," Paul, who has followed Scotland home and away with his dad for over a decade said. "It's not really sunk in."
Half of the winnings goes to support the Red Sox Foundation, meaning the men from Bonnyrigg were presented with a cheque of $10, 676.90 (£8,066.45) before the Red Sox' match against the Toronto Blue Jays on Wednesday.
