Martha Stewart is teaming up with Waymo, Alphabet's autonomous-driving company, on a social campaign announced Thursday that recasts its new Ojai vehicle as her latest "home away from home."
In a 52-second spot inspired by Architectural Digest's Open Door video series, she welcomes viewers into the vehicle and ******* ses it as if it were one of her own residences. "When choosing a property, good homes are essential," she says, praising its "excellent architecture and curb appeal" before touring three screens and asking Gemini about the weather.

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) - Illinois football will need guys to step up on the defensive line in 2026.
The Illini saw a flood of departures after the 2025 season, via both graduation and the transfer portal. Gabe Jacas, arguably Illinois' best player on defense in 2025, graduated, and was drafted by the New England Patriots. James Thompson and Leon Lowery, both tied for second on the team in sacks on the year, graduated as well. Tomiwa Durojaiye also contributed up front for Illinois, and he transferred to South Carolina.
Illinois lost young talent to the portal in Angelo McCullum and Eli Coenen, too.
Who could make noise in opposing backfields in 2026?
Illini head coach Bret Bielema offered up three potential starters when talking with reporters at Big Ten Football Media Days in late July. He says Joe Barna, Pat Farrell and Darrell Prater are likely to see lots of snaps in 2026.

NEW YORK
Signs of Jon Bernthal, the Hollywood tough guy, can be found all over his Broadway dressing room. The kettlebell on the floor. The vitamin bottles strewn across his table. The grimacing photo from the Marvel TV series "The Punisher." The pit bull standing guard at the door.
But look further and an image of Jon Bernthal, the sensitive actor, swiftly emerges. The yoga block next to that kettlebell. The boxes of herbal tea next to those supplements. The photos of his wife, three children and two brothers. The fact that the pit bull, a rescue named Bam Bam, is a certifiable sweetheart who just wants head pats and a nice lap to rest his head on.
"Are you sure you're okay?" Bernthal asks as I scratch a blissed-out Bam Bam behind his ears. "Because once you start petting him … "
It's an early July afternoon at the August Wilson Theatre, and Bernthal has two days left of starring in a tumultuous stage adaptation of "Dog Day Afternoon." Long based in Ojai, California, the 49-year-old recently bought a home in D.C. to keep his family closer during his Broadway stint. And it was in the D.C. area, where Bernthal was born and raised, that his scrappier side was forged.
