That may be one reason Dallas Goedert had a relatively quiet start to Philadelphia Eagles training camp. That certainly stood out. The targets reportedly weren't as frequent early in camp, which sometimes birthed legitimate questions about how Sean Mannion's offense might distribute opportunities.
Lately, however, a different trend has emerged. Per various sources, including ESPN's Tim McManus, "Jalen Hurts' connection with tight end Dallas Goedert is heating up. The Eagles have made a concerted effort to get the ball into Goedert's hands, involve him in the passing game, and make him a larger part of the offensive rhythm. Whether it's short completions underneath, chain-moving routes over the middle, or red-zone opportunities, Goedert's involvement has steadily increased as camp has progressed.

Today in Boston Celtics history, Kenneth Herman Rollins joined the team as a free agent in 1952. An alum of the University of Kentucky, Rollins represented the United States at the 1948 London Olympics, where he won a gold medal. Prior to his tenure with the Celtics, the native of Charleston, Missouri, played for two pro clubs. Rollins played with the Chicago Stags in the Basketball **** ociation of America (BAA), a predecessor to the NBA, until the team dissolved at the conclusion of the 1949-50 season.
After that, he played for the Louisville Alumnites in the National Professional Basketball League during their sole season in 1950-51. Rollins, the older brother of (then) Philadelphia (now, Golden State) Warriors 1956 NBA draft selection Phil, would take the 1951-52 season off from basketball altogether. Rollins returned to the sport with Boston on this date in 1952, playing a total of 43 games with the Celtics before retiring from the sport for good in 1953.
He averaged 2.3 points, 1 rebound, and 1.1 **** ists per game over that stretch.
It is also the date the Celtics waived former Boston big man Todd Mundt.
The Memphis product joined the team as a late-season add in April of 1996 and played just nine games with the franchise, over which he logged 0.7 points and 0.3 rebounds per game.

Dallas Goedert remains the headliner. He is still the Eagles' most complete tight end, one of Jalen Hurts' most trusted targets, and a valuable piece of Philadelphia's offensive identity. His ability to win in the passing game while also contributing as a blocker gives the Eagles a dependable veteran at a position where reliability matters.
The intrigue begins behind him.
Grant Calcaterra returns with experience in the system. Johnny Mundt brings veteran toughness and blocking value. Stone Smartt gives Philadelphia an athletic option with pass-catching upside. Cameron Latu, E.J. Jenkins, Eli Stowers, and Dae'Quan Wright all enter camp trying to prove they can force their way into the conversation.
The Eagles do not need every tight end to become a star. They need clarity. They need a reliable second option, dependable depth, special teams value, and perhaps one young player who can become part of the offense's future.

The Eagles will not know their final rookie hierarchy until the pads come on in a few weeks, but several first-year players already have clear paths to immediate roles on offense, defense, and special teams.
Makai Lemon has the most obvious offensive opportunity. With A.J. Eli Stowers is another offensive rookie to watch. Dallas Goedert remains the top tight end, and Johnny Mundt gives the Eagles a blocking presence, but Stowers brings long-term receiving upside. If he can handle enough of the blocking and ***** ignment work, he could carve out a role in two-tight-end packages and red-zone situations.
Along the offensive line, Jake Majors , Hollin Pierce , Jaeden Roberts , Willie Lampkin , Myles Hinton , and Cameron Williams enter camp trying to earn depth roles. Philadelphia rarely rushes young linemen unless forced, but roster spots behind Jordan Mailata , Landon ***** erson , Cam Jurgens , Tyler Steen , and Lane Johnson remain important.
Defensively, Drew Mukuba has the clearest rookie path. The Eagles have reshaped the secondary, and Mukuba's range, instincts, and coverage versatility give him a chance to compete for meaningful safety snaps immediately. His development could also help Vic Fangio keep Cooper DeJean in a flexible nickel role.
