We're taking one final look back at the 2025-26 high school sports season in the Brockton-area by recapping the best performances from local teams.
In total, there were four local teams that claimed state championships in volleyball, track & field, and baseball. Others made deep state semifinal and state championship final runs.
To see which team had the best run, we're asking readers to vote for the Enterprise Brockton-area High School Team of the Year. Reader votes will make up 20% of the tally and our four staff reporters (Eric McHugh, Jason Snow, Ryan Vermette and Chris McDaniel) will make up the rest of the vote.

It's almost time for our final All-Scholastic team releases for the 2025-26 school year: Spring sports edition.
Before they're released however, we're asking for **** istance from our readers one more time before the fall.
Like we've done for the fall and winter sports seasons, our readers will have a say in who our players of the year are for every spring sport. To help, we've narrowed the lists down to include only the most elite talent in the area (that wasn't easy). Each school is limited to a one-candidate maximum.
Vote for our Patriot Ledger High School Baseball Player of the Year. Reader votes will make up 20% of the tally, with our four staff reporters (Eric McHugh, Jason Snow, Ryan Vermette and Chris McDaniel) making up the rest of the vote.
Voting will conclude on Wednesday, July 8 at noon.

Constellation Energy Corporation (NASDAQ:CEG) is one of the best non-tech stocks to buy according to ****** ysts. Constellation Energy Corporation (NASDAQ:CEG) and Walmart announced on June 23 a long-term nuclear power purchase agreement for emissions-free electricity from Constellation's Dresden Clean Energy Center in Illinois, with the agreement including around 176 MW of wholesale supply. This includes 30 MW of expanded generating capacity. Management stated that the agreement supports reliable nuclear energy in the region, adding that Walmart will purchase energy, environmental attributes, and capacity through two 15‑year terms beginning in 2029 and 2030. It will help Walmart bolster local energy infrastructure and access cleaner energy. Jim McHugh, Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, Constellation Energy Corporation (NASDAQ:CEG), stated that the agreement reflects "long‑term stewardship of critical infrastructure, the communities it serves, and the energy system that powers American growth".
Constellation Energy Corporation (NASDAQ:CEG) further reported that through uprates at the Dresden Clean Energy Center, this agreement will provide enough new power to the grid to support Walmart's previously announced high-tech perishable distribution center, which is currently in development in Belvidere, Ill.
Constellation Energy Corporation (NASDAQ:CEG) is involved in the generation, marketing, and supply of clean electricity and renewable energy products and services. The company's operations are divided into the following geographical segments: Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, New York, Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT), and Other Power Regions Segment. The company was founded in 1960 and is headquartered in Baltimore, MD.
While we acknowledge the potential of CEG as an investment, we believe certain AI stocks offer greater upside potential and carry less downside risk. If you're looking for an extremely undervalued AI stock that also stands to benefit significantly from Trump-era tariffs and the onshoring trend, see our free report on the best short-term AI stock.

The 2026 MLB Draft is just a few weeks away (July 11-12), which means the 2026 MLB Draft Combine is upon us, taking place this week (June 23-26) in Arizona. NC State will have six players partaking in the event.
All six are expected to be drafted, with JR RHP Jacob Dudan and SO CF Ty Head expected to be the highest draftees of the group. With Dudan still recovering from Tommy John Surgery earlier this spring, he won't be doing anything but taking some measurements and meeting with clubs. The other five participants will be partaking in drills.
JR LHP Ryan Marohn's bullpen will be of great importance for his draft prospects as he'll need to show the injury that kept him out of the latter half of the year is now behind him. A solid showing will boost his prospects significantly.
Likewise, a solid combine showing from JR 3B Sherman Johnson will amplify his late season boom with the Wolfpack in 2026. He seems to have some momentum heading into the draft.
JR 2B Luke Nixon and JR 1B Chris McHugh will also have an opportunity to boost their profiles.
