Michael Olise was linked with a move away from Bayern Munich during the summer, but the Frenchman stayed after being labelled not for sale by the German champions.
However, Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen said on German broadcaster Sport1 on Sunday that he can't guarantee Olise will remain at the club beyond next summer.
"Making promises in this business is a tricky matter. Whether we can keep him permanently is something we will discuss again in the summer," Dreesen said on the future of Olise, whose contract expires in 2029.
As for this past summer, Dreesen denied that Bayern received any offers for the attacker, who was primarily linked with Real Madrid and Liverpool.
"That simply wasn't true. That's why I said it publicly. It simply wasn't true. We didn't have any offer on the table. And we've always said we weren't interested. That's exactly our position. Olise is incredibly important for this team. He's a magician on this pitch," he said.
