A court date for Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs has been moved up to Sept. 10, according to online court records.
Jacobs, who is charged with misdemeanor counts of battery and criminal damage to property, was originally scheduled for an initial appearance on Nov. 17. That is the week of the Packers' bye.
Instead, he will make his first court appearance at 11 a.m. Sept. 10 in Brown County Circuit Court in Green Bay.
The charges stem from an incident on May 23 in Hobart. According to the criminal complaint filed Aug. 27:
Hobart-Lawrence Police Department officers at 8:37 a.m. May 23 responded to a Hobart home belonging to Jacobs for a reported disturbance between Jacobs and his girlfriend. Both Jacobs and the woman were not at the residence when officers first arrived.
