Aryna Sabalenka takes her sport very seriously.
After defeating Polina Iatcenko in the second round of the US Open in New York City on Wednesday, September 2, the Belarusian tennis star, 28, was asked by a reporter about her "mood now that the tournament has started," in a press conference posted on YouTube.
"Obviously, last week it's lots of parties and fun and stuff like that," the reporter noted.
Sabalenka shook her head and interrupted, "You guys are, like, a joke. Parties, fun… like, why would you even say that? Why would you even think about that? Like, what kind of question is that?"
"Just because I posted, like, some activities with brands, and you think that I've been partying, not training?" the two-time US Open champ continued.
