No. 18 Tennessee will open its 2026 football season Saturday against Furman.
Kickoff between the Vols and Paladins is slated for 3:30 p.m. EDT at Neyland Stadium. The game can be watched on SEC Network+.
Saturday will mark the third meeting between Tennessee and Furman in the all-time series, dating to 1941. The Vols have a 2-0 record in previous games contested between the two schools.
Tennessee first played the Paladins on Sept. 20, 1941, winning, 32-6, at Shields-Watkins Field in John Barnhill's debut as the Vols' head coach.
Barnhill was named head coach after Robert Neyland was called into military service. Barnhill would guide the Vols to an 8-2 overall record (3-1 SEC).
