Richardson endured a turbulent stretch that included losing the starting job to Daniel Jones, suffering a significant eye injury and eventually requesting a trade. At one point, there were even questions about whether Richardson could fall to third on Indianapolis' quarterback depth chart.
But his preseason performance told a different story.
Richardson opened the preseason against the New England Patriots looking noticeably more polished. His footwork appeared cleaner, his throwing mechanics more consistent and, most importantly, his accuracy improved.
