Free agent forward DeWanna Bonner has reportedly agreed to a deal with the Atlanta Dream, per ESPN's Alexa Philippou.
The move comes after Bonner agreed to a contract buyout with the Phoenix Mercury earlier in the week. Phoenix general manager Nick U'Ren released a statement about the move, discussing how it was out of respect for the 17-year veteran.
"Because of the relationship we have with DeWanna, we worked out a buyout agreement that gives her the opportunity to chase a ****** le in what could be her final postseason.
DeWanna will always be part of the Mercury family and we wish her all the best."
Bonner was drafted by the Mercury with the fifth overall pick in the 2009 WNBA Draft. She spent the first 11 years of her career in Phoenix. After stints with the Connecticut Sun and the Indiana Fever, Bonner made her return to Phoenix in 2025.
