Readers can decide which athlete from the Tuscaloosa area had the most impressive performance each week. Below are our Boys Athlete of the Week nominees and poll for the beginning of the fall sports season, Aug. 20-21. There is a separate poll for The Tuscaloosa News Girls Athlete of the Week.
Nominees for athlete of the week come from our top performers list the week before. Coaches and team stat keepers can send in stats to nominate players for top performer lists to sportstuscaloosanews.com by 11 p.m. Friday.
Voting will last until noon Thursday, Aug. 27.
